I ended up putting OE Spectrum on my 82 c10. The 5.3 swap is runnin good just gotta get a new alternator and ball joints. I went to lake cumberland last weekend and hungout with Vicki and on the way back my truck was all over the road and the alternator started squeling dropping voltage. Gonna take it to Lucore soon as I can.
Dude I love your truck I wish I could go race mine I have a 454 SS I get so happy when I cruise mine around the block I wish I had more time I would love to go racing
Being from the south, I don't know how y'all deal with the crappy weather up there. Especially if it limited what, and when I drove something. Don't get me wrong, we get nasty weather, but few days a year we might have ice on the roads. Typically everyone stays home, but being a construction worker that's not an option for most of us. The best thing is that they don't use salt on the roads, and unless you live down on the Gulf of Mexico where you have a lot of fog, are dive on the beaches or any place like that there's no rusted clapped out vehicles to deal with. That and the state inspection system probably would not let something like that pass inspection. So racing goes pretty much year round depending on the part of the state you live in, 😂and unless you have a garage Queen, then you can drive your nice rides, or your classic muscle cars year round with the few exceptions, and that's just in part of the state, because some areas further south rarely get below 40 degrees if that cold. I like the look of the bed cover with the roll pan instead of the bumper. Plus it definitely cleans up the air rolling over the cab creating turbulence in the bed where the air hits the tailgate, and rolls back towards the cab. I've actually had 18 wheelers on wet roads suck the air out from under the back of my truck causing it to get lose, and the rear of the truck to swerve back n forth. Yeah I know I talk too dam much, but at my age I don't see that changing at all. Nice trucks you've got there, and don't worry about the hot boy brakes and other such nonsense. You've got a very quick truck, and it'll get faster as time goes by, it's natural progression for that to happen. Unless of course you plan on getting married, and having kids anytime soon, because that's what kills the racing dreams of most of us. It's rare that you find a wife willing to accept that most of the money is going into a money pit like fast cars and trucks that race as the only reason they exist for. Even if you have a job that can support both, they just have other values than we do. Take care
Not being able to find a intelligent counter guy at a chain auto parts store has been a problem since TRAC AUTO showed up in the market. Mark at car quest is worth his weight in gold. I agree on the rear bumper install, more real truck less show truck.
well Brandon good to see ya buddy FUN FACT THE LAST job my dad did for monroe's or if ya no W.H.WYLIE ? was to make the tooling for the gas shockers took them from 1977-80 in 78 they became monroe's man thats going back thx around then
Grab a couple more seals while you know ..... also it's a good idea for special parts , make a box of the packages or put in a file in a file cabinet ..Mark what it was exactly so you know later
Try getting a front seal for a 98 k2500 NV4500 lol. It took 4 people a 3 seals to finally get the right one, and had to wait because it had to be ordered each time.

That pickup is pretty clean for having 201k on it. Great job taking care of it.
I’ve got to do seals on 8.8 with 9” ends. I’m glad you reminded me.
I’m a fan of the rolllpan myself.

Make the rear bumper front bumper bed cover and cowl hood black that would look sweet and the roof.
