I don’t understand why an Albanian person living in Albania constantly uses English in their conversation. Also, “mediterrane” in Albanian is called “mesdhetare”. I left Albania as a teenager just 17 years old and have been living in NYC for over two decades and can say with confidence that I speak better Albanian than this woman. It’s a shame that local people don’t prioritize the native language but throw English, Italian, Spanish and other languages into the vocabulary. We are going to lose our mother tongue if people are constantly looking outwards instead of inwards feeling pride of the Albanian language. So disappointed in Albania and Albanians of today! lifestyle in Albanian means “mënyra e jetës” or “stili I jetës”. Is it that hard to say that?!
