The ip part dose not work for me
are you using \\ip address? make sure its \\ not // example \\192.168.80.1
MAD DIY I did and that Ip address example is so close to my address
very strange, especially if you are certain you have the correct address. Try these instead, going to share 3 different options.
1. Try using this method instead to connect \
etropie use this instead of the ip address. Usually the ip is always the way to go because sometimes this fails on certain systems.
2. On Windows computer (assuming this is what you are using) , go to My Computer then click map network drive, then click browse and click on the Retropie folder to map. You can simply click this drive now to connect.
3. Download winscp
Open WinScp
Select SCP from file protocol
Type in the ip of your raspberry pi
type in pi in the username
type in raspberry in the password category
it will give you a file level view to transfer roms.
If none of these work, I have to guess your Pi is not connected to your wifi. Let me know if this worked for you.

went to emuparadise and EVERY download rom says this game is unavailable. same if I sign up or not everything still comes up 'this game is unavailable' does anyone know a site where you can ACTUALLY download games for raspberry PI????

Is there a way to add games using a usb data transfer cable from windows 10 to Rasberry?
Maybe a little off topic but using the method of connecting from your pc is there anyway of seeing how much space is available as I couldn't seem to find an option to tell me?
Great question, I don't think that's possible directly (may need some tool or app) because its only readable under Linux.
Other way to do this, Simply exit the console menu (Start - Exit), once there if memory serves correctly, you will see the available space at the top. If not, you can type df -h in the console menu and that will do the trick. Once done, just type exit, and this will take you back into the RetroPie menu.
Let me know if you run into issues.

MAD DIY thanks for that I will check it out. Another thing I noticed on my retro pi when going into the roms and psx all the roms I have are .pbp files and the ones I have downloaded are .bin files and .cue files. Can I just put those in? will it work or do I put the folder in as a zipped folder like on the video? Thanks
Ok heres my deal. I bought a retropie from a company that already had about 15 thousand games already on it.Some of them don't work so im trying to load more on. I was told I need to plug my USB in and wait for it to stop blinking. Ive tried 3 different USBs and none of them ever stop blinking.Is it because theres already too many games on it?

Make sure you're on the same Wifi network PC to Retropie
So after I install Retropie onto my raspberry pi it shows I went from a 256GB SD card all the way down to MegaBytes therefore leaving no room to add ROMs. Does anyone have a solution to this issue? Thank you!
Are you using windows? If yes it is just a bug and you can actually install anything
Question, I am newbie in this retropie thing and I wanna make some research before buy a consoe with rasperry pi to play mame... is not possible to copy the roms in a usb stick and connect it directly to the rasperry card? (and somehow, drag and drop).

Im assuming you have you Pi connected to Wifi and have all updates. If so go to Retropie Settings, ES Themes, I think this one is Comic theme (says comic something). After installing, back out to main menu. Hit Start, UI Settings, Theme Set and select the file you just installed. Hope that helps. Sometimes you have to Restart emulation station for it to work. - Dave
Cant you take the USB stick from your Pi, put it in your PC, move the roms to it then plug it back into your Pi?

I F'ing love you! I have had my Retro Pi Emulator for years and was upset when I first received it because it was missing half the Sega Mega Drive library (found out it was due to lack of space on the sim card). You made it so easy to go in and delete games I don't play like Elmo and Barbie and add games I do play like Sega Pirates Gold and Shadow Run, thanks again!!!!

Depends in which country you are, and if the game is copyrighted. Make sure to check that every game you download, is not copyrighted.

If you are on a windows computer, click start, file explorer and open that window. Put your ip address in that window bar and NOT Internet explorer / chrome / firefox etc. Use the following before the IP address \\YourIPAddress
MAD DIY can you connect to the pie IP via explorer on your network connected pc menu based on default settings? Like configuring network sharing settings etc on my pc or pie 1st? Or is this how the pie and standard Home network settings are by default?
sure can (I hope I am understanding correctly). On you network computer simply type \\ before the ip address of your Pi and it will connect. You can even map the Pi to a network drive for easy access. I use Drive P: to get inside really quick without have to search for the IP address every time.

i try to connect to the IP on my Pi, and i get the error that windows cannot access the IP, when i do a diagnose, i get "The remote device or resource won't accept the connection", how do i resolve this?

Did you ever get this working? Are you dropping large data or a few files at a time. I would recommend to do a few at a time just to make sure roms are able to be moved to the new location
MAD DIY Never got it resolved, I tried deleting a few roms on the card to see if that would make any difference, only trying to add in one very small rom, I’ve tried expanding the card in the retropie setup, still no luck!

You can emulate Gamecube games in RetroArch using the experimental Dolphin Emulator core.

Most sites are starting to fold after the Nintendo Scare. Try emulator.games
maybe a special usb attachment?
@@pharaohatemiguess4862 Sorry, I re-read what you originally wrote, yes you can use a device like Dragonbox, which is license out technology from retrode which was popular a long time ago. Another source is Kazoo. Not sure if these are still available. Kind of became obsolete when sites like emuparadise became very popular. Let me know what you come up with, I'm now curious.

All the games I’ve down loaded won’t work. They are in zip files. Do I need to buy winrar to open the files are is there another way to get them to work

what about the Snap video and art work...does that get added automatically?
No this would not be added automatically, You can use the built in tool when you hit the Start menu (SCRAPPER) It will scrape the system to add the respective photos and descriptions for each console. Also you can use 3rd party software such as XML (which is great....when it works. Its been timing out on me lately and not finishing the task). Maybe an updated version will work better. I'll do a video this week on how this is done.

No not for attract mode, this you will need to grab from emumovies or [WIP] AM-Altscraper (Attract Mode Alternative Scraper) or you can even Download Full Snap sets at progettosnaps and move all at once similar to Full Rom Sets

I have a problem with my Retropie that I have no idea why it happened. All of the GBA games no longer play and a ton of my SNES games are starting to only show a black screen, making them unplayable. What the hell is going on???
Sounds like a change with the config, did you make some setting changes recently? Since its just GBA and SNES have you tried selecting a different default emulator?

Hey Sorry for delay, I was out of town but back. Unfortunately its not that simple assuming you didn't back it up. If you backed it up, a simple restore could be possible. Have you done any back up recently? If not, without knowing which config file is corrupted or missing for a simple drag and drop, not possible.
2. Try updating the emulator and everything else first, I have gotten lucky in the past with different issues. I didn't think it would work but got lucky a few times.
3. Lastly, what most don't want to hear, You could do a fresh install of the emulator, worst case scenario .
