Hey Chris 👋 what size jersey do you wear? My daughter and I really enjoy watching the videos you post . We are new too cruising, our first ship was liberty of the sea a couple weeks ago and we are hooked and already planning the next . Safe travels Mr Wong!
Chris it does not surprise me that you would get gifts. As a Fight Attendant passengers would sometimes do the same. (Most often the gift was an offer to become better acquanited.) The gift I was most proud was a card I received from a passengers daughter. You see, six years earlier I was in Madrid, Spain and an elderly woman colapsed right in front of me and my co-worker. We immediately checked her and began CPR. The woman lived and my Supervisor at American gave me a card she sent thanking me. I replied and told her that the day we helped her was in fact my birthday, May 18. So for six years I recived a birthday card from this lovely woman. Then I received a card from Spain that was not around my birthday. It was from her daughter telling me that her mother had passed. Then she told me how grateful she was that our efforts allowed she and her six grandchildren six more years with her mother. So as you said life does go on and you never know what kind of gift you may receive or give. My best wishes to you. I am enloying a well deserved retirement now Be safe and stay positive. Remember you have recently made it through a difficult period in your life and you are a better person on this side. ❤❤❤❤
It’s nice to see how appreciative you are of the gifts you have received. No one will be able to steal your pencil. Thank you for your videos. They are always so enjoyable.
I think you just answered your own question as to whether you should stay a crew member or go to full-time TH-cam. Look at all the people who you are teaching and who you inspire by your videos.
Chris you are right where you should be.. The happiness and information you bring to us with you videos is priceless. Please stay cruising.. we need you .
Hello Chris, I finally met you when my husband and I was on Ovation/Seas in September/22 and we were on the Symphony when it was in Spain but I prefer the smaller ships they’re more intimate, and it’s so good seeing you back on a ship again and thank you for all your videos
Our family went on Symphony of the Seas back in September last year out of Miami - we absolutely loved that ship. We've not been on Radiance, but on Independence, Liberty, Navigator & Harmony of the Seas. Going out of Miami was our first time, since we live in Texas and it's preferred to go out of Galveston, since it's a drive versus a flight, but the Bahamas were calling last year!! We now have Allure of the Seas going out of Galveston, so I'm pretty sure that will be our next one. Enjoy your vlogs and also just how open you are about what it takes to be a crew member, sharing your living quarters, your contract experience, your wages (both with RC and with YT). Keep it up - I'm sure that your casino crew members become like family - that's so cool!!!!
Chris: Everyone in the world is fascinated by what it takes to make something happen. Not always the same thing: someone might be fascinated by planes, others by cartooning, yet others by water treatment. You happen to be making entertainment and relaxation. That's interesting enough right there. But you happen to be making it on a floating resort! So you have the audience that's an intersection of entertainment/relaxation, marine engineering, hospitality, managing a micro-city, and a lot of other fields. Your potential viewership is phenomenal. Continue to be yourself. Continue to do what you enjoy doing.
Radiance in 2013, Hawaii to Australia, via Tahiti & New Zealand, 18 nights of wonderful cruising, so, so good! Love longer cruises as you really get to know and enjoy the ship with plenty of sea days. Thanks for your vlogs and sharing your life in the world of cruising from a long time viewer. ❤
I cruise alot, but have never had the opportunity to meet you, perhaps one day!! I thoroughly enjoy your videos, and you have the ability to bring out your human side, your passion, your drive, while allowing us to live a snippet of your life. Great Job. Fan for life
Chris, I just love your vlogs. You keep us informed and you are are a pleasant and lovely person inside and out. The way you showcased the ship and the ports, it's like we are there with you. Hope to meet you one day on the ship. Love my R.C.C.
Chris this has been by far my favorite video. I watch your videos at lunch time to help me unwind and relax from my stressful job. I look forward to your videos. Keep them coming.
Really enjoyed this one Chris. We were on Odyssey of the Seas in early December 2021 and seen you working and having lunch in the Sushi restaurant. All four times you were with other people and we would not interrupt you or your lunch. Next time I’ll be sure to wait and say hello in person. As avid cruisers we really enjoy your content and are always very appreciative of the hard work and great attitude of the crew members.
Hi Chris, in a future video, could you talk about the following: Where on the ship can you go or not go during your off hours. Can you eat in any restaurant you want? Can you see any of the shows? Are there guest areas that are strictly off limits to crew? Thanks!
It seems from previous videos that he can go to any restaurant and need to do reservations as well. As a previous crew member, I know that we were not allow in the guests swimming pools and specially not on any guest’s cabin. Crew are not to engaged in any romantic activities with guests at all. If we were not on duty, we were not allow to go around the whole ship freely because it was for passengers who are paying to enjoy the ship. I think some things might have changed a little bit but Chris can elaborate more about RCCL’s rules.❤
Chris, love your videos and inside view of what it's like to be a crew member. I wish I knew about being a crew on a cruise ship 20 years ago when I first finished school. This would have been a nice adventure to see the world.
We both enjoy your longer videos. By the time we got settled in to watch the short ones, they were over, and we were sad. 😔 So yes, we love the longer ones.
Just got off your sister ship Harmony of the Seas. Had a wonderful week with my son. My son had never been out of the Country but has now been to Jamaica and Haiti.
I've been on Radiance, for an Alaska cruise, in 2014. It is a great ship for that kind of area. We're booked on Symphony next January to escape our cold grey winter. Love both for specific things.
2007 Radiance of the Seas on the Pacific Coast. Our favorite right now is Odyssey of the Seas. We're about to be on Ovation of the Seas for 29 in the Australia area. We haven't been on Symphony yet. We'll see what comes next. Looks like you're having a good time on Symphony.
Another great vlog, Chris, please don't stop doing what you are doing. You educate so many people, and we are so grateful to you. Hope we get to meet on a cruise one day, our first cruise was back in 2013 on Indy.
cruised on radiance back in 2005. loved the self balancing pool tables but my favorite part was the elevators that faced the ocean. was supposed to be on symphony a few weeks ago but we switched to Wonder. lovely cruise! will be on oasis in June. hopefully will have the chance to meet you one day on a future cruise.
I was on the Celebrity Beyond's Trans Atlantic this past fall, awesome ship. I love the edge class ships. I used to go on RC a lot but have mostly switched to Celebrity mainly due to the fact they're more adult and couple oriented and RC is more family oriented. Celebrity lacks a lot of the activities for kids like no water slides, kiddie pools etc. I still go on RC for chartered music cruises, usually on the Freedom or Independence. I like both cruise lines and they are a pretty similar experience, you can tell they're essentially the same company just marketing toward different clientele.
When we were on the Carnival Dream, we had 2 emergencies. One at the beginning of the cruise, and at the end. Didn't have to pull into a port for either. Had the US Coast Guard fly to the top of the ship once, and a boat came the other. Nothing life threatening. Love your vlogs as I'm a new subscriber.
This video was vulnerable and very relatable. You’re 30 & this is the time we all have these feelings of doubt & questioning. It’s a kind of trick or self sabotage sometimes so you gotta really evaluate your reality. Working 6 months a year is a huge blessing and finding a person who is like minded would be very important. What’s more is, finding an unconditional partner is the way to go. So if that’s the route you take, make sure not to settle. Be completely transparent and honest but respectful regarding your needs and vision for starting a family. Let me tell ya, leaving that career would be a mistake. My 52 year old mind was screaming at the screen like noooooo 😂. 😊 But yeah, if you can start a travel agency business & TH-cam cruise review like Harr Travel then you’ll be able to build a family and remain in that cruise type element in a whole new different and exciting way…spending your time in beautiful cabins/suites that you can share with your entire family as it grows. Thanks for sharing your cruise life & im looking forward to meeting you on my 2nd symphony of the seas cruise.
I'm a 61 year old junior high school teacher and I still LOVE to play Pokemon Go! LOL Keep up the great work Chris! I've been on many cruises and look forward to many more in my future. Love your videos!
Ironically, our very first cruise was on Radiance in 2006, and 10 Royal/Celebrity cruises later, our most recent voyage was on Symphony! Although Radiance was wonderful with incredible wall-of-glass ocean views, our vote goes to the Oasis Class ships with all their great amenities and dining choices. The super ships have never really felt that crowded to us! 👍😎
Great great video Chris I really enjoy it on the foot. It was awesome. I like the views on the ship. It was great especially liked the gifts that shit different side of you. You’re so humble.
It's very wonderful that we as viewers bring you joy by giving you a little something when you proved endless joy and informatiom about cruising. I love your videos and apparently I'm not alone! Get a P.O. Box for Royal Carib and people will mail you things. You deserve it! ❤️
Hi Chris...Wife & I were just on the Symphony on a B2B. You and I talked a few times while watching my wife at a machine. Our second week onboard had the detour stop at Miami because of the medical emergency. On that same cruise, while in Roatan and Cozumel there were ambulances at the dock during those stops as well. Resting up for our B2B on the Jewel in May out of Amsterdam.
Hi Chris, i watch your Videos around 2Years and get a Fan of you! I booket my first Transatlantic Cruise 12.12.2022 and 2 weeks later Annonced you that you have a contract to Symphony of the seas. Wow what a suprise for me, i have a chance to meeting you! See you in March, from Miami to Barcelona. Greetings from Switzerland Andy

Our favourite RC ship is Radiance we have been on that size ship quite a few times. Just been on Quantum and we didn’t enjoy the larger ship as much as we have the smaller ones.
Hi!! I was just on symphony Feb 3rd-11th! Your friend from Romania in playmakers told me to follow you! We we seen the coast guard chopper come and pick up someone. So scary! Great channel!!
Not that we’d want you to stay a crew member forever (because I know there’s a not so glamorous side like long hours and not the best pay or living quarters) just for our own selfish entertainment but I just wanted to reiterate what a lot of people in the comments have already said: your channel is great and gives the average viewer cool behind the scenes looks at what it’s like to be a crew member. It works. In my opinion, there are a billion cruise channels/vlogs from the pov of a passenger. It’s just not that interesting (just my opinion. You’re entitled to yours). Your channel is the only one that I know of that offers the viewpoint of someone working on a ship, is consistent, and is pleasant to watch.
It was so good to see Celebrity Apex! We sailed the Apex last month. I'm about to board a ship for a new (to me) company for the first time for work next week and am super excited to experience ship life from the other side of the coin.
We had two helicopter medical evacuations on a recent cruise to Australia. One was at Port Angeles, WA and the other was a Kona, Hawaii. 20 minutes is my sweet spot for video length.
Your my children's favorite person whenever they see your video they scream with excitement he is 4 year old. I'm also your biggest fun. I really enjoy watching your video trust me they have been a biggest encouragement in my life and I aslo apply with harding to work in cruiser ship.
Just watched you on la lido loco. Proud to say your vlogs are growing. You give so much info. On cruising and the behind the scenes works. Keep up the great work. Big hugs.
We loved Radiance! The small ships are more intimate and relaxing, you meet more people. The large ships are great with so much to do, but it’s much more hectic. And you were saying Mahahual right!
Love being at central parks for all the Oasis class. We love drinking on one of the restaurant bar patio every night, one of my family and friends favorite hang outs
We sailed Radiance in Alaska in 2015 and Symphony this past Nov 2022 to St Thomas, St Maarten and perfect day. We fell in love with Symphony and are hoping to cruise her again in the next year or two.
I work on liberty of the seas and we had to do the exact same thing back in February. A helicopter couldn’t come to the ship so we had to go in to Fort Lauderdale and then head back out to coco cay.
I’m glad you could make a quick detour for an emergency. On my first cruise a guest was helicoptered off in the middle of the night off the Independence.
I love Central Park in the evening, especially when there’s soft music playing. Need to get back to Royal soon, bern on Celebrity lately. Great video Chris!
So a need to know is ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA, an announcement that signifies a medical emergency on board? We heard it on three different days on a recent Jewel of the seas cruise and wondered if that was the case.
Enjoyed your video. Have sailed on both the Symphony (and other Oasis-class ships) and the Radiance ( and other Radiance-class ships). Radiance-class ships are my favorites.
Loved Radiance of the Seas, 12 nights South Pacific. There was a medical evacuation that happened on that cruise from Luganville, Espiritu Santo. It meant that we were only a few hours late from leaving this port. The ship had to wait for medical to arrive from another island. Would do the exact same cruise again, if could. So much to do and see at each port.
Actually, it was my wife Lynne and I that gave you the hoodie while we were on the Odyssey.. We are glad you enjoyed it. BTW ..We have also sailed on Symphony last February and then on Radiance last September from Vancouver to the Hawaiian Islands. Hopefully we will see you again soon.....next time we will bring you socks..LOL.

yes can't beat the ocean at any time
we enjoyed COsta Maya, nice little port, pool downtown
Love that you’re on Symphony cruise ship Chris! I’m obsessed about watching videos about it …one day we’ll be on it hopefully 👍😀 have a great time!

Been on Radiance a number of times. She is our favorite Royal Ship. Perfect size.
Chris, thank you for your fun information! Will see you in 2 weeks for the TA!
I'm a 61 year old junior high school teacher and I still LOVE to play Pokemon Go! LOL Keep up the great work Chris! I've been on many cruises and look forward to many more in my future. Love your videos!
Stayed in the 2 bedroom aqua theater suite last year on Symphony deck9. It’s an amazing room
We've stayed in a balcony stateroom on the Harmony of the Seas overlooking the Aqua Pool. It was very nice.
This was an extra super video of this past month and enjoyed watching it passionately. Onwards and upwards to the 100K subscribers.
Enjoy your blog, makes me want to take a cruise again to enjoy the ocean view on board. Thanks

I enjoyed your video much, Chris. You are beaming when you are showing the gifts shows you are so grateful and humble by the show of love

See you in March, from Miami to Barcelona. Greetings from Switzerland Andy
We've been on both Radiance and Symphony, going on Reassurances again this September. We've enjoyed for different reasons.
great to gifts
nice little gestures, make your cruise life special
We have been on Radiance of the Seas, many years ago. And when we were on a Princess Cruise, a crew member, from the Photo lad, accidentally, got chemicals from developing, on him, and had to be air lifted off, between Caymans and Florida. Its never a good thing, but we were told the crew member made it to the Miami hospital and was being taken care of! I am guessing this was way before digital, was popular. After 66 cruises, hard to remember when exactly! Now we are much more enjoying the River cruises, have been on q5 of them, including 2 in Asia, and multi times all the Rivers in Europe. A medical emergency and I feel relieved that Royal Caribbean is probably running at full tilt to make up time to help a passenger. Absolutely awesome
You do great job! I've sailed on Radiance and like the smaller size. Was first RC cruise out of 19 I've done. LOVE walking between 2 ships as well!

This was my cruise! We stayed in the aqua theater suite and I spent a few hours in the casino. Wish I had saw you!
Anthem of the seas loved stayed 2month on Anthem starting with December 4 -11-18-26-2 -13-24-4February 12
My dad was once a CBP officer in Miami airport. But he retired in April 2022.
You are definitely growing, and it’s amazing to watch your adventures!
I work on liberty of the seas and we had to do the exact same thing back in February. A helicopter couldn’t come to the ship so we had to go in to Fort Lauderdale and then head back out to coco cay.
So glad you are progressing with your videos.
The husband getting all the angles for that pic IS WINNING @1:58
Nice! Will be going to costa maya on the adventure of the seas in April! Still trying to figure out what to do
You have a great personality well suited to your job.....I hope you had a nice shore lunch.

Radiance of the Seas is my favorite ship. I've been on smaller ones and bigger ones. Radiance is just perfect.
Have been on serenade but going on radiance in April !!
Never been on symphony. Have done allure , oasis and harmony.
#goals
Love Symphony. I was on it in 2018. Hope to be on again. Enjoy!!
My wife and I sailed on Symphony of Seas in 2020 just prior to the Pandemic. Loved the ship, entertainment, and restaurants!
Love Central Park at night. We are on a Central Park balcony next cruise.
I’m glad you could make a quick detour for an emergency. On my first cruise a guest was helicoptered off in the middle of the night off the Independence.
Cool story about the CBP patch!
Been on Radiance several times starting in 2001 (her inaugural season). Ive been on the larger ships as well, but prefer the Radiance class.
I’ve been aboard Radiance on an Alaska sailing. Never been aboard Symphony but some day for sure
Went on Radiance of the Seas 15 ish years ago- from Vancouver to Alaska. It was a great experience! Can’t wait to go on some of the other ships :)
I did a Mediterranean cruise on the Symphony of the Seas back in 2018.
What a WONDERFUL g8ft from the customs and border agent - sooooo special!!! Very nice, loving and appreciative video, Chris - thank you!
We had a helicopter rescue on Ovation this past September. It was definitely amazing to see !
Me and my husband cruised on radiance of the seas for our honey moon Nov 2022!
Never been on Royal Caribbean. Not opposed, just trying to get to Platinum status with Carnival.
I LOVE Symphony. Been on her twice and looking to book her again!
We've been on Radiance 3 times. Twice in Alaska and the first 10 days of December 2022 out of New Orleans. Yet to be on Symphony but there still time.
LOVE your excellent vlogs, Chris!! Thank you!!!
