    Great series! I'm a natural red head, so I'm never first in the door. We sweep out the house and open the door to sweep out on midnight. Interesting that Irish folklore around the New Year is so rich considering Ireland didn't solidify the celebration date till late Medieval times (Samhain and then March 25th were the old dates). Thank you for such a lovely 12 days!

      I love the sweeping tradition too, we had a very low-energy end to the year :)
      A lot of the traditions, especially around YuleTube get mixed up with globalisation and Christian influence, so it can be very eclectic in a lot of ways
