  • Lovely sunny day in the Royal hospital Chelsea. Guided tour of the hospital sites by BrianCummings, one of the amazing Chelsea Pensioners,
Those interested in military history should visit the hospital specially around Armistice Day, or during the Chelsea Flower Show.

I wish I could retire here as a US Veteran. Haha. My grandfather was Royal Army North Africa WW2. Does that help???

I think a lot of the rules are on their website, and the pensioners themselves are very helpful. They have a specialised tour for those trying to apply. But I think the vetting process requires at least five years good service, having known as a dependent, and a few other small requirements.
Willing to admit, it will be interesting to see the American system. I've heard a lot of things on both sides of the argument about the VA and whether or not it is helpful. Wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall, camera and sound equipment recording as a group of American and British army veterans exchange stories. And don't worry, I can edit out anything you guys ask me too

Hi is this where baroness Thatchers grave stone is?

Sorry to say no, you're looking for a gravestone that looks like a 19th-century Kansas farmhouse
