Dan ordered one, (saw your video), so looks like I will get to do the maiden soon, may have to try my first 'snappy whirly do'. Based on your laugh-o-meter it should be fun and the colors look good for visibility.
I wish they would make a Britten Norman BN-2 Islander with the Red Devils Livery. I loved my old small GWS Islander so much that I scratch-built 118-inch or 3m balsa ply and foam core wings over a 3-year period. But I would love a smaller electric foam one that I can fit in my car and not have to use my truck and trailer. I bet X-Fly can make a gorgeous one.
Now that is a nice peice of kit. Bit of sealer on the white be good to keep it looking good altho gone to that much trouble to paint think they would have done it.😮 Love to have one flys and looks great.😅❤
Those are scale to the float version which this model does have an option for. I'm guessing they're there because the full scale needed additional directional stability since the floats would be destabilizing.
I feel that’s the case with most aircraft in general. Any nose gear first touch down is going to be lights out for the landing because it’ll usually result in popping the nose way up into the air.
Nice looking and flying plane. Are those wings a pain in the butt to get on and off for transporting? Appears that it might be because of the wing struts.
Actually, it’s pretty quick. It’s only 3 screws per side including the wing strut attachment plus the connectors for the motors and servos are hard mounted in there.
Just beautiful flying Chris. A man after my own heart. Really cool foamy!
Thank you!
Love the one wheel touch & goes. Great visibility on that plane, too. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching!
Gorgeous model. Love Twin Otters. Just needs floats to be the most accurate for a plane that's meant to be an island-hopper!
There are floats available for it. 😊
Thanks !!!

Thanks a lot!
I like the "landing, full stop". Just need to add ",Trans Maldivian Tango-Mike-Victor"
Pretty neat.. 👍
Nice Twatter Geek dude 👍
Thanks! 👍
Really nice plane! ... what about doing the wheelbarrow!? the stabilizer not so "scale" because of those "winglets", why?

It’s a must to touch down on the mains, the nose gear will not take much abuse before it gives up the ghost

Unfortunately not. 😬
I fly it on 5000 and 6000 6S
…😜👌
Some people want more paint while others want less. 🤷♂
Well, I figure if you’re going to paint it, why not paint the whole thing? 😆
