Thank you! Beautiful beach. I’m in Maryland and hope to come here. I looked this area up on Google and someone had commented dogs are not allowed as they irritate the horses. Thanks for confirming dogs are allowed. 👍🏽😊
The beach is really beautiful! This place has so much to offer. If you ever decide to go camping here or try the beach please let me know how it goes. Thank you for watching and I appreciate your support.
Thanks for this , i have been many times but have not been in a few yrs so good to see it again . Yay ! Inspires me to plan a trip thete 👍 but 🤫 don't tell everybody , i hate when it's crowded 😬🥺
You should absolutely go back soon. It’s a great beach and a wonderful way to spend your time. I am glad to hear I inspired you! If you ever go back, please let me know how it goes. And yes, let’s keep this between the two of us.
Just to clarify something - Assateague Island in Maryland is composed of two parks, Assateague Island National Seashore and Assateague State Park. There is camping in both parks, the national park has no sites with electric and the state park only has a few.
I’ll be going to Ocean City soon. Hope I get a chance to come here. Also, question. At the natural beach (where you walked up too) are you allowed to shift through the sand for sea shells/fossils? Or do they want you to leave it alone as much as possible?
I really think it’s a great beach. I think the sand is better than Ocean City and the beach is overall a better beach experience. Please let me know what you think if you ever get a chance to visit.
Sorry, I didn’t see that you had a question towards the end. I don’t know if they allow you to sift through the sand. I can’t imagine that they would have a problem with that.
@@letsgoseeit457 I was already there a few days ago. Didn’t actually stay at the beach, it that was a GOOD THING! The wind was so bad the sand was actually hurting my legs. Also there was a sign saying don’t take anything without a license.
You should NEVER take seashells from a beach they are there for the crabs!! That is their home and protects their body, If you have some please bring them back to the beaches.
I don’t recall the exact month, but although the video looks like the summer, it was closer towards the winter months. It does have a bright sunny, tropical feel to it no matter when you’re there.
I am not too sure if dogs are allowed. I’m fairly certain they are. Although, with the horses being there, they may not allow it. Regardless, I hope you have a great visit.
I understand your point. Admittedly, the sand is nicer in real life than it is in the video. However, it likely cannot live up to the quality of Florida beaches.
So since all horses have ancestors that were domesticated by humans at some point in time, that means there’s actually no such thing as a “wild horse”, they would be referred to as “feral horses” you can only be a “wild” animal if your ancestors we’re never domesticated.
Hi, thanks for watching the video and for providing critical feedback. I didn’t realize there was a difference between the two. I’ll make a note for future projects. Thank you again for taking the time to post a comment.
Please never take sea shells from beaches!!! If you have please return them to your closest beach. Crabs are now being forced to improvise bc of this ! Be kind leave the shells behind!
Honestly, I thought taking them away from the beach was a bad idea. However, when I talk to staff there, they said it was perfectly fine. Thanks for offering this insight. It’s greatly appreciated.
I don’t think many people understand hermit crabs molt n grow therefore need shells to change into. The flat shells are ok to take but hermit crabs need these type shells 🐚 FYI hermit crabs can live for 20-30 yrs with good care and humid climate. I personally don’t encourage buying them for your kid while on vacay at the beach..your kid will get tired of taking care of them.
I love walking and geting seashells every year love it so nice
Yes, this is an awesome beach!
Very nice and interesting video ❤️ 👍
Thank you, I’m glad that you enjoyed the content. I appreciate your support and thanks again for watching.
I used to go here with my family as a kid every summer; camped every time.
I’ll never forget the magic that this place holds.
Totally agree! Nothing beats waking up on the beach.
Love this place! The beach, everything is so beautiful!

Sorry for not mentioning it in the videos and thanks for pointing it out.
@@letsgoseeit457 No need to apologize, I enjoyed the video. It’s just that I know it can be a little confusing for first timers.
Great place. Was there today.
I’ve always enjoyed my visit to ask the island. Please let me know how your visit was.

which month was it when you visited?

Interested in how busy the campsites were and how far apart were the sites.

Yes even our horses are gangsters. 😂😂😂 The bayside has less bugs.
That’s funny, gangster horses lol.
Im Planning on visiting This place on Friday, Are Dogs Allowed ?

hi is the beach open 24hr?
I haven’t tried to go there after hours so unfortunately, I don’t know.
Thank you ♡♡♡♡
You're welcome 😊
Are there lifeguards in summer time??
I believe there are.
Love the hordes / swarms of mosquitos.
Is it all day long harassment? Never been there.
@@treasuringpricelesstime5962
Very much so. Not quite so bad on the beach but parking lots and bay side is bad.
Unfortunately, mosquitoes and other pests are the greatest downside.
White sand, no sir. You need to go to Pensacola, FL, that is white sand!!!
