You are the most beautiful couple. Every time I see you together, I feel the love you have for each other, along with the love you show for your local foods. You're both amazing.
So much wonderful variety! I love the simplicity and purity of the single-filling onigiri. It was fun watching you guess which onigiri was which.😊 Perhaps you can try the combination flavors at Omusubito, at some point. Like you, Shinichi, I prefer the nori wrapping to be soft, having grown up with it that way. Thank you both for this yummy, entertaining video, and thanks to Aineesan for being such a good friend.❤❤❤
Oh how fun! I love onigiri, and it would be so fun to visit this shop and try the different varieties. I'm glad that Aineesan suggested this shop to you, and I hope you'll visit the other onigiri shops, too. Best wishes to you both!
I'm _so_ glad to see you, Erin! I hadn't seen you in the comments for some while, it seems to me (or perhaps you were there and I just missed you). I hope all is as well as may be with you and yours! ❤
If you're planning on visiting other onigiri shops, I highly recommend Onigiri Bongo in Otsuka. Ukon Yuriko, the owner, is a fabulous lady and they make glorious onigiri.
I was just going to comment on Onigiri Bongo too. I've seen the shop featured on a couple of shows, including Trails to Tokyo, and they look so good, especially with the numerous fillings they have available.
Oh my Onigiri! That was so many onigiri. I used to not like them so much because I am a sandwich person. However I have really grown to like them. Kombu and Umeboshi are actually my favorite. Those had a real made by someone's grandma look to them. Like go to the country side for the day and some Obachan hands it to you before you set out for the day. NIce video.
OMG I LOVE onigiri, especially umeboshi! I wish we could have seen them being prepared. I enjoyed your commentary, had a good laugh. I remember as a child we made our own musubi we would use the whole sheet of nori and place our rice and filling in the center, usually umeboshi and make into a huge ball and wrap in waxed paper and newspaper and pack as our lunch and go out to play. Those were the days … natsukashii! ❤🌺
I have never wanted to try bacon onigiri so much in my life! Also, one can’t go wrong with salmon. Keeping this in mind for my trip to Japan next year!
Those onigiri look delish. I just ate breakfast and still drooling over watching this video. All the unknown filling make them like fun surprise to each onigiri
Now I'm craving onigiri. Like Shinichi, I prefer the sour/salty umeboshi and the softer nori on mine. Never thought to put takanazuke inside but will have to try it. Thanks for a great episode! Looking forward to the other onigiri shops.
Yayyyyy sister Aineesan!! These onigiri looked amazing!! I love love takana! I haven't had takana is years though....... My GO-TO onigiri is with okaka. The okaka/natto sounds so good!! Thank you for sharing these most delicious looking onigiri my brothers! The one with bacon is definitely interesting, as I love to make bacon fried rice whenever I don't make Spam fried rice for my family.
Watching Pokémon and Naruto was my first ever introduction to onigiri. Today, I make my own and it’s so good when you just want to have a little picnic out!
Wow, such variety of fillings and flavors. They all look so yummy. I go to Onigilly in San Francisco - they don't have the variety but it's a perfect lunch snack with a side of miso soup.
These look delicious!!!! And fun to guess the onigiri flavour. It's like a game you van play at a picknic or something hahaha Never seen a bacon onigiri. I would try most of the ones you bought. I marked the shop on my maps so I can check it out someday.
How super yummy all looks! I love onigiri, tuna mayo is an easy fav. Would love to try all of these specially the yakiniku and natto ones. Looking foward to the next onigiri vid. 😊
I discovered Onigiri from a convenience store, had no idea what it was and from then I really enjoyed picking some up as a healthy snack when travelling. Then I saw them on TV when Samurai were travelling from place to place (possibly along the Tokaido Road), and understood that they actually have a long history in Japan. Up until now I thought onigiri filling is always simple, such as a sour plum and a couple more. However you showed that the Omusubito shop sells many different types. And so when I next visit Tokyo, I want to visit this very nice shop. Many thanks.
Wow! I had no idea there were so many different varieties of onigiri. I'm only used to seeing ume, salmon, and tuna. This gave me so many ideas next time i want to make a batch. Thanks for sharing!
Onigiri tabetai! I love nato w/shiso kombu & green onion. Shouldn't watch this when hungry! I better make some rice! Enjoyed watching this video & trying to guess the filling!
I will have to remember to refer back to this video next time I visit Japan - looks so tasty! You should definitely film a part 2 with the other onigiri you didn’t order this time 🥰
Onigiri are so delicious! Love onigiri!! Onigiri is like pizza, you can put anything on it and it'll taste good. And I love pizza one of my favorite food.
My daughter and I love Onigiri. We can not get them where we live unless with drive 4.5 hours to Atlanta and then it is only if the shops have made them. I love yakiniku and think it would make a great filling. I have had Adzuki filling and Tuna Mayo which was really good. Thank you guys for a great video.
Wonderful review of some tasty looking onigiri. Takana is mustard greens, so I wonder if it gets it's unique pungency being from mustard? It is also one of my favorite side dishes to eat with rice! 😋
I so enjoy your intro to this video it's very creative and set the mood nicely . This was alot of fun and the selections of onigiri were devine, I couldn't fault one not even the natto . This is something I must do with my girls, as a food game night but blind folded winner gets a nice bottle of wine.
Those all look amazing! I would have loved to do a full onirigi taste test 😍 I love all the flavors but my favorite filling is sour umeboshi, probably followed by ikura or tuna mayo. Thanks for sharing with us!
You two are so handsome and fun! And i love how you both lit up when trying the different ones. Everyone has certain foods or smells or sounds that get right to the core of who they are and what has made up their experiences in this life. I imagine onigiri being the equivalent to Sunday morning pancakes at grandparents house. Sorry for the ramble lol! 🙏❤️🕊
Guys, I think my favorites would be the yakiniyu and pork kim chee. Both look excellent. You may also consider doing a Hotto motto taste test. Hotto motto is a nation-wide take out only bento place. They sell about 35+ different bentos, the steak one is awesome.
The nori wrapping would help flavour the plain rice but some of these such as the canned tuna one look to have a very low ratio of filling to rice. They are cheap but I think even if I had to pay a little more, I would much prefer they all had a really decent amount of filling like the kimchi one had. They still look good, I think the combination ones would be nicest and I could imagine if I worked locally, I would be buying 3 or 4 every day for a healthy breakfast. Thanks for sharing.
Very interesting tasting! Guess the contents onigiri testing! And I do love your wreath on the wall--so lovely and spring-like. When you said you were craving tuna and must be pregnant or something, I laughed so hard I almost choked! Sometimes you two are SO silly; I love it.
At 3:45 on your great video is that spam Musubi I see on the bottom right corner? Will make this a stop with our family as we finally get to return to Japan at the end of May. My kids and grandkids grew up eating grandma's Musubi, especially spam musubi when they went on school excursions.
how fun i wouldve have difficulty choosing omusubi aineesan has great taste i think i would like spicy tuna mayo, kim chee pork, takana great video thats a lot of rice if u ate it all gotta take a nap😊
You are the most beautiful couple. Every time I see you together, I feel the love you have for each other, along with the love you show for your local foods. You're both amazing.
Thank you 😊
That sigh-in-unison with the Takana. OMG... so f-n cute and funny. I love you two!
Omg! Lol, onigiri is my favorite. So interesting to see the different varieties. Ty for sharing, I’ll have to make some.
This was fun! It's like we were discovering the contents along with you guys.

Satoshi's hat is so cute
It’s lovely seeing the two of you together. I always enjoy the exploration of various foods or stores/restaurants
What a delicious game! Can't wait to see you try to decipher the combination ones!! 😛🍙

I was eating my breakfast while watching, it made my ham and cheese sandwich seem so boring in comparison. 🥶
おにぎりは漫画やアニメにもよく出てくる日本の食べ物なので、海外の若い方達から大人気だそうですね。
作り方はとってもシンプル。米をぎゅっと握るだけ。これだけなのとても奥深い。
I'd love to see you two visit some more stores, quite a delightful video.
Those jelly donuts look so good! Thanks for the video!
Namaste and love and thanks to you both. Your videos bring me joy!
Great thanks guys love!!!🍙🍘
And it's in Tokyo!!! We will check it out in May thanks guys!!!! These are the vids I'm after!!!!✌🏻
Hope you enjoy it!
@@TabiEats 🍘😊🍙
They all looked delicious and I think I'd want to try them all. Would love to see another video with the rest of the combo onigiri
Absolutely lovely , so wonderful to watch very kind people, and so very interesting yummy food ❤
They all looked so yummy! Never really took to natto but may be willing to try it in this format! Thank you!
Another great video. Would love to try all the different varieties.
I miss Japan and Onigiri at the 7-Eleven stores. My favorites were tuna, with red adzuki beans, salmon, and salmon Roe😋
They all looked good! I will try this the next time I'm in the area.
Shinichi, how is your mother? We need to see another cooking episode with her.She was awesome!
I miss japan so badd, and it looks yummy 😭😭😭
Now I'm craving onigiri. Like Shinichi, I prefer the sour/salty umeboshi and the softer nori on mine. Never thought to put takanazuke inside but will have to try it. Thanks for a great episode! Looking forward to the other onigiri shops.

This video was so much fun to watch and you guys look like you had so much fun making it!!

They look delightful. I’m sorry to say I have never tried one. Some day.
How super yummy all looks! I love onigiri, tuna mayo is an easy fav. Would love to try all of these specially the yakiniku and natto ones. Looking foward to the next onigiri vid. 😊
Ohhhhhhh, those look really good. Plus you can eat it on the go if need be. 🙌🎉
Always love bbq beef dishes, i think that would be my favorite so far!
I discovered Onigiri from a convenience store, had no idea what it was and from then I really enjoyed picking some up as a healthy snack when travelling. Oh my goodness you had all my favorites!
Dana will love this! We will eat a lot of this if we come in May.
You Guys I love your videos! Keep up the good work. Gambatte!!!
Yes please! More onigiri.
Onigiri tabetai! I love nato w/shiso kombu & green onion. Shouldn't watch this when hungry! I better make some rice! Enjoyed watching this video & trying to guess the filling!
I will have to remember to refer back to this video next time I visit Japan - looks so tasty! You should definitely film a part 2 with the other onigiri you didn’t order this time 🥰
I'm hoping they have an English menu. We will definitely visit when we are in Tokyo for Sakura.
It looked like they had photos of each flavour at least.
Being weird, my favorite is plain rice wrapped in nori (soft, brings back memories of youth).
Onigiri are so delicious! Love onigiri!! Onigiri is like pizza, you can put anything on it and it'll taste good. And I love pizza one of my favorite food.
We love pizza too!
I would love to see you guys review the other combo flavors from this place…especially the bacon cheese.
My daughter and I love Onigiri. We can not get them where we live unless with drive 4.5 hours to Atlanta and then it is only if the shops have made them. this video made me hungry! it was fun seeing you guys try to guess what was inside 😂 and everything sounded so delicious 🍙 ❤

More onigiri please! I want lots of inspiration for filling ideas to make at home 🙏🏻 I definitely want to try buta kimchi
Those all look amazing! I would have loved to do a full onirigi taste test 😍 I love all the flavors but my favorite filling is sour umeboshi, probably followed by ikura or tuna mayo. Thanks for sharing with us!
Loved this! Inspires me to do more flavorful onigiri and be more daring with ingredients. Which I think maybe a life lesson😊Thank You!! Much love❤💛💚💙💜
Looks so Amazing. 💞 The videos Thank you🫂💜❤️
You two always make me hungry, no matter what time it is 😘❣🍻
Please make more videos like this. I didn’t realize how many options were available for musubi.❤
This looks so good! I’m in Austin so not a ton of Japanese options but will look to have some tomorrow!
I hope you include a video showing how you turn this into fried rice!
Guys, I think my favorites would be the yakiniyu and pork kim chee. Both look excellent. You may also consider doing a Hotto motto taste test. Hotto motto is a nation-wide take out only bento place. They sell about 35+ different bentos, the steak one is awesome.
i love onigiri! coming from singapore, i always get this at 7-11 or at my petrol station for a quick fill up!

Looks so gooood. Have you been to Onigiri Bongo? That's my favorite onigiri shop that I've been to so far. Lovely atmosphere too :)
My top 3 favorites from the 16 would be shirasu, yaki tarako, and takana.
I could only think of my favorite Korean spicy, vegan kimchi stuffed into an onigiri. Now I'm craving a dish I've never had!
That sounds delicious!
I would love to see more Onigiri.
So many different fillings ^^ I want to try them all.
I'd be really curious about the one with the pickled vegetables, and the bacon one.
Very interesting tasting! Guess the contents onigiri testing! And I do love your wreath on the wall--so lovely and spring-like. When you said you were craving tuna and must be pregnant or something, I laughed so hard I almost choked! Sometimes you two are SO silly; I love it.
This was fun, you guys having to figure out what you were eating☺
When in Japan, I always chose natto in my onigiri for breakfast.
Nowadays I make my own natto and onigiri.
I'll be in Tokyo in November! This is going on my must-visit list! 🥰
I know it's a way away yet but am delirious with excitement to return to Japan.
We’ll make sure you have a long list to take with you before November.
I wish you would try the combination fillings in the future, especially bacon and cheese.
I would enjoy more onigiri videos. Any good shops near Tokyo Station?
I really enjoy sour flavours but my favourite English crepe/pancake style topping is lemon juice and sugar so I think I would enjoy both variations.
I would be interested in a video about pickled plums!
all them awesome jelly donuts!!!...........................XDXDXDXD
At 3:45 on your great video is that spam Musubi I see on the bottom right corner? Will make this a stop with our family as we finally get to return to Japan at the end of May. My kids and grandkids grew up eating grandma's Musubi, especially spam musubi when they went on school excursions.
how fun i wouldve have difficulty choosing omusubi aineesan has great taste i think i would like spicy tuna mayo, kim chee pork, takana great video thats a lot of rice if u ate it all gotta take a nap😊
How would you guys compare Omusubito with Nigiri Bongo? Nice that you got through so many fillings!
Did u guys get a new camera the video quality is great.
Nope. Same camera 😊
Onigiri Bongo is still the best for me 🤗❤️
I love onigiri, I wish there were places around me that I could get some from.
I really want to try the yakiniku onigiri, and bacon onigiri... I want to see some of the other flavor combinations they have available too
I love onigiri... How do you guys eat so much? That's a lot of rice. 1 or 2 onigiri often fills me up. :)
Kimchi would be our favorite!!!!
I’d go for the pork&kimchee!
Now I am hungry!
@tabieats I wonder how it compares to Onigiri Bongo?
since onigiri in Hawaii is called musubi do you think there is any relationship with the owners with the islands?
Lol 🤣 I would just press all the buttons and buy them all. That store is dangerous for me hehe.
Wish I could come to japan and try these. Maybe accidentally see you guys, and Chris Broad.
You guys are too cute 🥰
You could do the other onigiri in a second video
I would love to see how you turn the left overs into fried rice. That really intrigues me.
