This bowl turned out beautifully - it has so much character!

Thanks so much! I love the character. I have maybe 2 more with that same burl that need to get @totalboat soon.

It doesn’t matter what route you took, you arrived at a beautiful piece of art which you obviously enjoyed making. I haven’t been turning long and you’re finding the same things as I do all the time which is nice to see. My experience is that the best way to learn is practice and if you listen to all the advice thrown at you it gets confusing. You’re going the right way and making some lovely stuff so just enjoy - thanks for sharing - let’s have some more bowl turning videos!

Thanks. That is the best way to learn, you are correct about that. More videos coming soon! I have another piece on deck.

When I saw you come out the gate with that push cut I was impressed. Ballsy move. Nice piece!👍

Nick you had me laughing so hard!! When you finally got it out of the bowl, I literally just finished saying, "it looks like half of a bowling ball" and then you said the exact same thing. So funny! Seriously though, that bowl turned out beautiful. The blue color you made looks so striking with the reddish brown color of the wood and I love that it has little bits of black in the wood also. I liked that you didn't edit out your errors and that you explained them from a beginners point of view. So that, even if accidents or errors happen it doesn't seem scary to actually use a lathe. I'm not a wood turner.....yet, but someday I think it would be a super fun, artistic hobby. I watch wood turning videos a lot and I hope you keep making more pieces and videos. Looking forward to watching you become one of the pros.
