Simply because you don't need big machinery to build such things, also no aliens are involved. What are wide going through that things, even footpaths are visible. Ignoring all this so you can say its "untouched" ? You need a plan - computers are great to generate geometry. Then take a bunch of friends with ropes (for the circle radius and other measurements), an some planks to flatten the corn. Don't get caught by the farmer, if he's not one of your helping friends. People in the past also had no big machinery, but could build big structures like temples, castles, roads and yes, pyramids :)
