Having tried the new Thegrea, T3 PRide is possible but likely really bricky.
Going Light Thegrea 1st with the option to go for the T3 Pride if you highroll your draws (drew into new Thegrea + having Drilling to put G3 into the soul + having a 2nd G3 to ride into new turn) feels more comfortable.
Also, we could afford to run less Maple G1 if you are using her in Ride Deck.
While the new Thegrea is cool at the end of the day it doesn't change the fact she is a turn 4 deck always.
I mean, not necessarily, people are just allergic to her G2 order for whatever reason
I have no idea about what the game will be like. I just opened the video, went through the open and funny bit, and then got blasted by the weirdest comercial ever.

23:44 Doesnt Dark have to specifically ride the light one? The new thegrea says ride from soul and then bind it so its not considered a ride on top of light correct? so you have to choose between double persona or a restand
In this context, because the ride was on top of Light Thegrea, New Thegrea gains Light's name. So when the reride happens, the restand is available.

I see the problem of her mainly being turn 4 still, but I've been playtesting putting Justice Thegrea into rideline and get another one into soul for turn 3 persona shenanigans. Also the grade 2 set wont proc persona ride but i believe Justice Thegrea can still proc it herself after the fact and the new thegrea cant get their good skill off , it will be 3 big attacks
Actually yeah, it does still Proc Persona via its own Skill & then using g2 Maple to scout the extra copy from Soul to hand. Could be a good way to generate good turn 3s; curious to see how that'll play out, if it ends up being Thegreas main way of staying relevant.
If my understanding is right, I think that the new thegrea can persona ride in turn 3 and double persona in turn 4. By running the new thegrea in ride deck, you could use its second skill and ride the light one from soul then bind itself then in turn 4 you could persona to new thegrea then the first skill will activate and it will inherit the light thegrea name. After that use the second skill and persona ride again into the dark one. That way, you are able to restand the vanguard. Isn't this possible?

Doable extremely hard
You are too piece reliant at specific times, you first need to see light before turn 3, and you also need to see drilling angel to put light in to soul, then become you only have 3 Justice left you have to hope you see one for turn 4
Some games you can get all this to work, but most games you will be missing one or two pieces and be just stuck, if you can’t get light or dark in to soul by turn 3 your turn 4 might have 2 persona rides, but neither light or darks full effect will be active as you had to persona ride Justice on top of Justice

so why you want do that? if use g2 set order ride new thegrea and use new thegrea to persona ride, you could not restand because new thegrea did not copy the name.
Turn 3 persona ride is a meme that if you have resources to expend safely, go ahead and do it imo. But if you cannot guarantee a turn 4 persona ride, the bricking feels 10x worse than original Thegrea bricking.
@@senjo8169 the first auto effect of the new thegrea treats her as the same thegrea that was rode upon so the dark thegrea effect will still work
@@parazygone9567 that auto effect only work during ride phase, so G2 order would not work.
It’s super high roll, but you can get off 4 attacks with persona ride turn 3 if you drilling Angel dark before using g2 order for New Thegrea. Also I saw a pretty bad misplay in game 2…

@@TopDeckHeroes that and with many decks running rampant Rush Games, it's gonna be hard to live. Maybe the extra Thegrea Support will give it another Maple/Glitter RG unit that gains shield?
why not have the new thegrea in ride deck? you can persona ride with her skill while opponent is g2. (unless it's too risky to try and hope for drilling angel and another thegrea)
like you said, only cards that can slot in thegrea into soul before t3 can hope to pop off new thegrea if she was in ride line. But it doesn't sound like an unfeasible idea.

New Thegrea in ride deck means you do not restand in turn 4.
@@charlesg213 you dont restand until turn four anyways, just you get a persona ride on turn 3
@LomasneyAaron New Thegrea says on ride phase upon riding on top of g3 Thegrea, you get that Thegrea's name. So if you are in Light from Ride Deck, Turn 4 you are considered Light if you ride New Thegrea. Then New Thegrea grabs another Thegrea name into soul and then ride into Dark because that will allow restand due to "Riding" on opposite Thegrea.
New Thegrea in Ride Deck is a vanilla Thegrea in turn 4. You would need g2 set order to switch into another Thegrea in hand to make restand possible going into turn 4.
Maybe Hector should of played the water OT instead of the fire then he could potentially recycle more Persona Rides from the drop.
It would of certainly helped in Game 2 😅

Early rush does weakened this deck by alot, going second is not the optimal way, also if u have trouble getting new thegrea u can always take advantage of maple to fetch her back from soul, this can be done by using new thegrea skill and sending it soul or getting it with drilling angel. It better to not run too many of the other thegrea cause u only need the new one. Why not add the g2 that send cards back to the deck since u can now control when u can perform a personal ride and it also makes a 45k column.
Don't think you can fetch the new Thegrea since it binds herself after using the reride skill. Only way to 'fetch' her back is going against Shojodoji that brings bind units back to deck lol
@Carrots think he's talking about having an extra Epee Du Justice in soul for when you do use the skill to scout with Maple. Aka having 2 of them
Will Mushiking be showcased? The deck can be very scary, especially in the early game

@@halohawkxx turn 1 you deckthin 4 cards, and you deckthin 1 more card every subsequent turn.
Turn 1/2 you can make swings of up to 23k.
Ye Wandering + the Rock grade 3 unit can drive check up to 5 times in a turn, in a deck that has been thinned by 6 at turn 3, and on average that means that non-trigger to trigger ratio in a deck is around 1.5 and not around 2. (uncompressed deck)

Why didnt use g2 thegrea order?
Some may still think it's a bit of an unnecessary card to run; truth be told. I think running 2 of them is fine. Especially when you wanna have some fun using the new Epee Du Justice Thegrea to fish out a Persona Ride for free. Unsure though, maybe it's not necessary to use.
I don't get why they used the maple as the G1 in the ride-line. while yes, thegreas RL is mid it still either pluses you or gives you information for your turn, unlike the maple which is just a vanilla on ride. I'd get it if they'd decided to only run 1 G1 Maple, but when you run multiple anyways it feels really pointless to us the tactic of just selecting RL steps for soulblast and resurrect skills.
it to have early access to it via a sb, u can virtual cut out running more copies of it in the main deck.
you can just play 1 in the ride deck as opposed to 3/4 in the main deck.
also, as you said, the Thegrea G1 is ass

Seems like thegrea is really an awful set to run, such a disappointment that the meta has stagnated so hard and new cards get destroyed so decisively
