All in all, What the Tech Ep. 22 discussed how to set the Dwell, but here it is explained in more detail and is easier to understand thanks to cool animations. 👍
Few questions hoping you take the time to reply So is the optimal dwell setting right before the fps drop? Do you have to adjust the dwell each time you change fps?
@@hitmanslayer3003 Thanks for responding! Would this also go for adding a suppressor? I have noticed that mine shoots worse with a suppressor attached, whereas without the FPS, it is more consistent. Might just be mine but it was an interesting observation at least.
@@DBRSAstonMartin it’s often not talked about but I personally believe that suppressors do make a difference and might need dwell adjust. My mp5 needed it as well when I added an 100mm foam filled one.
@@hitmanslayer3003 good to know! yeah i haven't messed with the dwell yet, honestly terrified ill mess it up. My HPA journey has not been a friendly one and its nice to have a HPA that actually works. My Kythera journey was a miserable nightmare.
@@DBRSAstonMartin Haha i dumped my Kythera as well. Nothing but problems and at one point only got 800 shots out of a 62/3000 tank. Tried an inferno and never looked back.
Ive had an aeg for 3 years and ive spent 1300 bucks keeping it running(well trying to its never worked longer than 3 days) - and im really trying to play airsoft and i havent gotten to yet, if i switch over to a gas gun, (money doesn't matter im balling fucked up), is it gonna work? And like maybe work longer thaj 3 days? And how much would a whole gun set up like this cost out of the box, ?
Set your dwell as high as you can load the mag with bb you shoot most often set your hop up to where you would like it then. Shoot into a chronograph to find your base FPS. Then lower the dwell little by little shooting 2-3 rounds into the chronograph every time you lower your dwell. What you are looking for is for your fps to drop depending on your system and how consistent it is it can vary. while your dwell is high shoot 10-15 rounds and see what the range looks like and once it falls under that range then go up 1 setting on your dwell and you should see that your fps is the same as when you started but your dwell is lower then you started

Since no one answered you, you don’t need to adjust dwell for fps changed. Only if you adjust the barrel length.

Oops had my dwell on 44 and I have a 5 inch barrel
Interesting, but I'm still not sure what Dwell setting I need on my MTW, or how to test / set it correctly
