I converted my 93 front brakes to C5 with Baer Eradispeed two piece rotors. I installed a Doug Rippie comensating spring in the master cylinder to force more braking to the rear and I couldn't be happier. Best mod I made.
I converted mine years ago, you will find that you won't get the pedal fade from continuous use, like road coarse type action, with the C5's. They hold up so much better....mainly for the reasons you stated.
So my man tell me i have a 85 Would you recommend replacing the rear to C5 or leaving them Be ? I was considering track racing mines with the C5 Z06 wheels
From what I see the rear brakes are almost the same size between the two model years. I was going to replace my rears with c5 just for the looks but I found that the parking brake is different. I didn’t have the motivation to open that can of worms just to have the calipers match. Instead I just painted the front and rears with caliper paint and they look pretty good

pretty off topic but did you keep A/C with this swap? I just picked up a 93 vette and an LQ4 and am trying to find info on how to make that work.
Hey I didn’t do ac but you can probably squeeze it in up top on the passenger side with the right adapter bracket

Non J55 is. But the J55 big brake is good.
