Thank you so much and thank you for watching my video. When I first saw him online, I thought “wait, I know this sculpt” and when I saw him in person I knew I had to take him home. He is my favourite doll of my collection now and to be honest, I would like to get another very old doll. It’s so much fun to give them a new appearance and new life 😍❤️
What a gorgeous transformation! It's so nice to see old dolls getting restored. One of my first dolls was an old, badly damaged bjd that I slowly repaired over months and I absolutely love her now. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Thank you so much. I looooove old dolls and giving them a new life 🥰 Old dolls have this special aura… how many owners and face ups or styles did they have? So interesting. 🥰
what a rare find! and he looks extremely gorgeous on the after! also the bandaid you put on his face is washi tape, right? ive always wanted to add that but too afraid i could damage the faceup (newbie here!)
Thank you so much for watching my video. I am still in love with this old doll. He for sure has a special place in my heart 🥰 I used real band-aid (you can find a tutorial on my Instagram account @ dolltrovert) Yes, stickers, band-aids, tapes etc can damage a face up but it never has happened to me in the past 11 years since I started doing face ups. I seal my heads minimum 3 times after I have finished a face up. Sometimes there is residue of the adhesive from a tape, sticker or band-aid which I was always able to remove gently with wet magic sponge. ☺️ I hope this helps. 🫶
omg Rendds!!! A comment from you makes me so happy. I have been watching your videos before I took my break from the doll hobby. And I see you are still uploading videos once in a while. Going to binge watch all the videos I have missed! 🥰❤️ Thank you for watching my video and leaving such a sweet comment. 😍🫶❤️
Thank you so much for watching 🥰 First I was scared it would turn out too orange because I had to cover up a lot of yellow 🥲 But now I also like how he turned out 😊
Thank you so much for watching my video and for leaving a comment. You are absolutely right, it wasn’t visible or clear at all (working on a doll head, staying in frame and not always having my hand right in front of my camera lens is really difficult 🥴). BUT (thanks to your comment) I got the idea to make an eyelash tutorial. I will show both methods which I use to glue eyelashes on dolls. ☺️🫶 Please stay tuned! This tutorial is on my to-do-list now ❤️
@@LunaMikkelsenBJDomg Thank you!! I really want to know because I have big eyelashes I would like to use on my first doll! Thank you for responding! I look forward to more videos from you as I enjoy them all!
thank you so much 😍 ❤️ I still need to find the perfect brush for the tiny hair (lashes and eyebrows) because I struggle a lot with the brushes I have atm 🫠 which causes ugly wonky lines 🥲
no offense to her but ball jointed dolls are not meant to be thrown away their collectors and made more for people that like to custom dolls or collect them 0:35
Edit: Sorry, I think you meant the daughter? Well here in Korea dolls are sold extremely cheap on the second-hand market because there are just so many dolls for sale. I guess the daughter thought nobody wants this doll because it is so old. Can’t blame her. I see many older dolls on the second-hand market for a super cheap price but nobody buys them 🤷🏻♀️
sorry for never responding. Sometimes TH-cam won’t give me notifications about new comments 🥲 I got him from the Korean secondhand market. Unfortunately you can only buy from there if you life in Korea, have a Korean phone number and know the Korean language very well. 🥺
Ohhh I got a dolkot kiss too!! Don't you fret he's quite beautiful actually! I got mine third hand and the poor guy had the plainest faceup and a grumpy face, now he looks much cuter IMO. The downturned lips are a little hard to work around if you want a smile instead, but it is not impossible
That's sweet of you to show some love to an old BJD

he's so handsome! half of my dolls are also old 2nd hand dolls but with some care and new faceup they end up looking pretty new again
