you can also use sewing thread to cut clear parts without damaging them. you can use thread to cut precision parts out too without scribing and all this other bs. one neat little trick I learned years ago from my grandpa. just use it like you would a 2 handed saw blade.
Watch the fit between the upper and lower fuselage. They’re is a lot of bonding that happens and you need to do some finagling to get them joined with no gaps
I was able to eliminate a gap between the upper and lower fuselage by removing a little material from the rear part of the lower fuselage. I didn’t get it all perfect but got it close enough that I was able to clean things up with some filler.
I find that by sanding in one direction with a pad and then sanding in the perpendicular with the next pad and so on is better than the circular 'polishing' stroke
Thank you for the insight on how to improve on building model kits. Can you provide me with additional insight on what setting you are using on your Cricut machine to cut out your stencils for the display bases. James
I built the F not to long ago great kit. I'm sure the E is pretty much the same which I also have in stash ....and G lol 😆 imma hornet guy ....anyway HAPPY SCALING 👋
I was doing this for the very first time (i'm not usually an aircraft builder) a couple of weeks ago on a 1/48 Trumpeter Talon and the windshield snapped right down the middle as I got to the last stage of polishing :(
@@seanerk5kt9 honestly I don't recall any major issues. Cleaning up the intakes was the typical challenge. Only other issue to me was the plain looking exhausts. Compared to the Kinetic kits, it's a dream to build. Watching your work on the canopy makes me feel like a savage 😂Looking forward to your build!
I use mother's wheel polish on my canopies that stuff will polish anything but I do not use a rotary tool I do all my final polishing by hand.

Thanks to everyone for the tip - I’ll be trying both sewing thread and the hot blade method !
Thanks for the video! I’ve been modeling for a long time but canopy seam lines are a bit daunting to me. This will really help!
Loving the welcome wave as always.......love your work, always amazing
Awesome another coffee slurping Primedmodelworks video 😁. You do make it look easy mate. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
Always nice to see the steps you do to get the awesome results of your finished kits. Thanks for the coffee
Just finished the EA18 Growler. Great kit, very happy with it.
I did also. It went together really well
So glad u put this up, did watch the av8 build and still have it,

@@seanerk5kt9 yup that sounds familiar. I had a hard time getting the lower wing on the left hand side to sit flush to the fuselage

I'm an armor modeler, but that was pretty cool!

I use the medium paper setting with Tamiya sticker sheet
@@seanerk5kt9, can I assume you use the same setting for Frisk Film. Again, you are a gifted modeler. Respectfully, James
I wasn’t aware you had a witness protection program for your viewers… 😉

He just cant tell his wife that he AGAIN bought a new kit - so these days the kits are „donated by viewers“😂
Could live without the gross coffee slurp!
Yeah, the coffee slurp triggers some of my more feminine and emotionally fragile viewers.
I really enjoyed building this kit - hope you do as well. 🥸
Any pitfalls I should avoid?
