The back panel behind the door is a Program tape reader for punched tape method of loading cycles. Only reason I know is because next to the 1993 Mazak QT15 I worked with, was a 1978 Mazak Powermaster which had punched tape capability. This machine is making me consider opening door to my own small side shop.
