This game is still fantastic and I'm glad that you can access it on any platform. What makes this double great is that now we finally finally get a continuation from that cliff hanger that's been eluding us for several years and we are getting a dub that DOESN'T sound like garbage hopefully.
About if Garou was big in south america: I can't speak for everywhere, but here in Brazil it wasn't super common to find around. People here are very attached to KOF specifically. I know some Fatal Fury fans (me included), but KOF was the one usually on the spotlight.
@@truindividual yes, for a few different reasons. Nintendo didn't (and doesn't) have national brazillian distribution, everything is imported. But back then Sega partnered with a br company to sell a national version of their consoles here, so it was much cheaper. As for SNK, the Neo Geo has a ton of games that run on the same system and was relatively easy to pirate, so you would see arcade machines with metal slug and kof everywhere.
Um I bought this for the Dreamcast when it was first released in Japan. I played this game to death over the Neo/MVS version. I would recommend adding this game to your Dreamcast Fighters collection if you see it.
It's one of the few games that wasn't so great on the Dreamcast. Gameplay-wise, that is. In my opinion, of course. For me, the mid-proximity cancels, or lack thereof in the Dreamcast version was a dealbreaker. For example, Terry's close C was two hits, but you couldn't cancel after the first hit in the Dreamcast version. That always felt off to me. In the original/Neo Geo version, you could do that. Sound is also a mixed bag, but that isn't much of a hindrance.

SNK games were a big hit down there aren't they? Same for the Sega Master System

Where can I buy a Dreamcast?
Ebay or some game vendor at a con. Not too hard to find but it's on all consoles
Check your local games stores that sell retro games and consoles.
To think this game was built on a then 8 year old engine. SNK was definitely a master In working on a budget and it paid dividends. Least til its end
Yo ty for this, im playing this getting prepared for COTW
Wow didn't even know this came out for Dreamcast. I swear the Dreamcast is an amazing console.

Are you referring to "Family Fun Center is now... BOOMERS," or am I thinking of something else? 🤔
