Thank you for the detailed explanation. I have to present that in school next week, but on the Internet there’s almost no information to it, this helped a lot. Hannah Höch was just a genius woman, it’s just amazing.

Marvelous! The interim period in Germany between the wars has long fascinated me. What a rich stew of art, music, politics and philosophies! I've always been particularly drawn to the Expressionists - both in art and in film. I look forward to each of your posts, and hope to see more soon. :)

this was really great- very understandable and knowing who's who in the cut-outs adds so much vital meaning to the piece, makes me like it on more than just an aesthetic level- thank you for sharing this :) (certainly helpful for my school project)

Im so confused... Hannah Höch is a german artist, but there are literally no videos in german about her. Warum ist das so (-)_(-)?

The analysis of this collage is very interesting. I would never have divided this piece into 4 quadrants. I'm curious whether Hannah Höch explained this -or- did art historians discover it?

Sheesh, definitely winning for most creative title... And I'm sorry to admit that I didn't notice the lack of female artists on the playlist until it was specifically mentioned - I think Hannah's the first! As for the work itself, I'm a fan of the satirical upper-right quadrant and Einstein's cameo. The Dada artists seem to be the most... out there so far. 😅
