- Sri Lanka is a fantastic country, we fell in love with it on Our First Day in Sri Lanka. Our first impression of Sri Lanka as a country and of its people is very positive. People are here so welcoming, humble, and always smiling.
On our first day in Sri Lanka, we planned our Travel from Colombo to Kandy By Train in Sri Lanka. Train journeys in Sri Lanka are considered the best Train Journeys in the world, so we wanted to experience that. We made this video to explain to you All About Sri Lankan Trains and to help you understand How to Book Trains in Sri Lanka, how many types of categories are in Sri Lankan Trains, and which route is best to experience by Trains in Sri Lanka.
While traveling from Colomb to Kandy, we met a lot of good people on the train, and we felt as if we were traveling in Indian railways only because people were so welcoming, and everyone was sharing food with each other trying to make a bond, we loved every bit of it. They even gave us their own seats to us, so that we feel comfortable in their country, and we were moved by this positive gesture. You will definitely find this vlog very informative and entertaining.

Last month i was in colombo and i took bus for kandy from Colombo. It was great experience in bus also bcz of lots of scenic view.
Yes, trains are a bit more scenic and comfortable but buses are good too.

Thank you for your video. I am unable to book train from NanuOya to Ella. Link you have given in description opens booking for 30days advance only and it is always booked full. Any tip how can I book the ticket ?
If it’s not available online then you won’t get the reserved tickets. But you can book general ticket from the counter

Gampola ke liye train hi nahi dikh raha morning 5 wlaa jo apne liya hai khali kandy ke liye hai gampola ke liye 12.40 ka train dikha raha

@@VeggieWander correct sir, but apne bola na apne jo mistake kiya wo na kare and book ticket for gampola but ye ko morning wala train apne liya uska ticket book kar rahe to morning wala train hi nahi hai so should I take the risk and book for kandy fir apke jaise hi TC sir ke sath setting karlu ? 😅

You have to fill ETA before entering sri lanka
can we take indian rupee and ecxhange it for srilanka rupee at colombo airport
yes but it will have bad exchange rate better to take USD if taking in cash or you can use forex card like niyo it has very low exchange rates and bank charges for country like srilanka.
Hey, the fellow member has already answered it. The best is carrying USD or a travel card like Niyo global. Cash is bit better as you might not get card payment options everywhere.
