Liverpool was in a disarray when he came in. He brought back the fighting and winning mentality into that club, cleaned the swamp, brought in the right profile of players and took Liverpool to winning major trophies. All this while competing against another elite manager ( pep) in a state owned club with huge transfer spending.
As a United fan, MASSIVE RESPECT TO JURGEN!

Nothing but respect for Jürgen Klopp. He went out on a high with his head up after winning every single trophy. One of the all-time great managers in football history in the eyes of Liverpool fans. Rivals know it as well. He wasn’t absolute forced to be reckoned with, and has the respect of almost all levelheaded football fans.

Klopp has transcended the football product and has connected with every member of the liverpool fc community personally. I don't think there's another leader alive today that has evoked such emotion. Klopp's announcement was perfectly timed. Look at it. We are in a good place, the shock of it will subside and allow us to recover ourselves going into the final stage of the season. The emotion will lift us as a club and fanbase to push the team to try and win everything. The players will want to give everything to send Klopp off in style and make a positive impression for the next incoming manager.
Rivals will be gloating and expecting chaos and a chance to take advantage. They may be surprised with our reaction to all this. It was the right time to call it, trust me. You'll see at the end of the season.

To DR Sports @03:10 Bob Paisley announced his retirement in 1983 during the season and Liverpool won the league that season. After flopping in the league in 1981, Paisley dispensed with many senior players and blooded Bruce Grobbelaar, Mark Lawrenson, Steve Nicol, Ronny Whelan, Ian Rush and Craig Johnston. All of those guys were around the age of 21 and all went on to become legends. Klopp was set to do something similar but he's leaving. The big difference between the Paisley situation and Klopp is the backroom staff stayed, they were Liverpool people. Will be interesting to see what happens with a new manager and new coaching staff. That means different methods, training and philosophy. That could prove to be a problem.
For me the reason Klopp was a success is because he incorporated a playing style and philosophy which was similar to the successful 1980s teams. Neither Houllier nor Benitez played football in what I would call the Liverpool way.

The prem is officially a farmers league from next season, as Klopp is the only one who has consistently at least put up a challenge to pep and City. Regardless who comes in to replace Klopp, I feel there is gonna be quite a big drop off.

Total respect to Jurgen for coming out and speaking his mind. As much as we all love and admire him there is nothing more important then health. He has put so much in to our club kicking every ball that his decision could be health related. For sure he needs a rest for a year or so then we never know one day he may return for a second spell with us. When Shankly left it seemed the world was coming apart then we got Paisley who performed miracles. Keegan left us all in tears until Dalglish arrived doing even better. Torres was replaced by Luis Suarez who was excellent for us. At Liverpool we always manage to soften the blow of a legends departure by signing an excellent replacement who himself becomes a legend. Remember, we are the ones who sing "with hope in your heart" and all that. Enjoy the final few months of Jurgen's reign then we move on to new beginnings hopefully with Xabi Alonso as the new leader of the pack. Nothing is forever.

Listen Klopp mad respect, prem will miss him but don't put him anywhere near Wenger, SAF really saying who left a club on the up means nothing the old legends rebuilt and won several times over. Klopp for all his talents hasn't done this anywhere, and Klopp does leave after 7/8 years, and at Liverpool, he's overstayed a year. It will likely be the style and how he manages it would take a toll. But timing also suggests Board signings and money available.

5:03 to anyone who's giving Alex grief right now shame on you. Even if he's a rival Alex is a good guy. Jurgen Klopp is a class manager and person. Stop...
OK with all that being said, Xabi Alonso, are you mad. If Leverkusen become invincible and topple Bayern he's not leaving. Also what about Liverpool's son, Steven Gerrard (Ex's Scouser Accent) he's the obvious choice.
Robbie is more shamless than I am saying Trent is gonna leave to Real Madrid, what a savage...
