woha chill man! abviously i am not saying that. i am saying it can make the last 0.5 % take aston villa this season. first time wearing a quallity nike kit and look how well they have done. i dont play football any more but i do play cricket and golf. and when i am in a match or comp and i am wearing great fitting gear, it makes you feel so much better than wearing cheap baggy stuff. no the £55 price tag wont make a difference to the england players. but the close fit, and stylish design will.
i think the new kit looks cool. our players look stylish, not like walking advertising boards. and if they like it, could add an extra percent to the game. most of my friends say the same. well done umbro!!

our kits now are the best kits we've had since '66, because they are alot like our '66 kit, another thing, why have we always had blue shorts? there's no blue in the St George's cross.
I was thinking of buying this until I saw that it costs about £50. Do they really think that people will spend that much on what is essentially a white Polo shirt? I wouldn't pay more than £20, if that.

i disagree. look at all the best teams in the world. they have stylish, well fitted kits made by top brands. barcelona, arsenal, inter, man u, all nike. real madrid chelsea, ac milan all adidas. its the same with national team kits. i think it has a real pshycological effect on teams. umbro have made some seriously ugly tacky kits over the years. the new one in my opinion is stylish classy and great fitting. it will give this england team the best chance possible to become world champions.
umbro kits were brilliant in the 90's.....but they tried to copy nike by going plain and simple.....it didn't work.....for all the design and research, this shirt looks just like my PE kit in 1985......it was a £3 quid shirt from asda with the England badge stuck on!.....lazy and a shame cos it lost them the England contract eventually...
I think it's funny how since the shirts are so plain they had to come up with all this extra promotional material to give it meaning. I like the "tailored by england" campaign but they are missing the mark. Do they even care about selling shirts to the general public? Fact of the matter is, the design is BORING. A white badge. Really? You say timeless, I say generic. I'll be sticking with the old shirt until 2011, thank you.

I find it lazy and/or rather over indulgent when kit designers 'go retro'. It often means they cant think of anything new or just simply cant be arsed. This video demonstrates a pathetic fuss over what is essentially a polo shirt. Though i'm sure it's tecchnical quality is good, aesthetically is all to bland for my liking. It's like designing the new iPod into the old Walkman (Cassete player and all) and apple saying 'We though we'd go retro'.

It looks garbage guys, sorry. It's the two things that embarrass me, the way over the top whiteness of our kit which has just taken an extra leap towards a sheet of A4 paper and our lullaby national anthem.
