Screw feeder vs Vibrating feeder - DEM Simulation

Feeders play an important role in bulk material handling systems. They are used to control and meter the flow of material from storage bins or hoppers. There are different types of feeders such as; screw, rotary valve, belt and vibratory feeders. The major factors to be considered in deciding which type of feeders to use are the application and the bulk material's properties.
In this video, we compared two commonly used feeders; a screw and a vibratory feeder to control the flow of non-cohesive material with the average size of 1.5 mm.
