Hey Sierra! I am only 8 mins through the video and I was hearing you talk about how you're straightening your hair since it is cold outside! It just made me think of how us black women also call late the fall/winter season "silk press season". This is because it is the time where it is really cold and we dont have to worry about sweating our hair out or it raining too much. I am personally thinking about getting my hair staightened as well!😂
Sierra I feel like I can just see lightness and joy in your eyes lately in your videos! I hope you are truly feeling this way and know you bring joy to your viewers ❤
hey Sierra! I'm usually a pretty silent viewer, but I've been watching you since middle school (i'm a freshman in college now) and I just wanted to say you have inspired me to wear my hair natural and develop a curly hair routine that works for me! I used to straighten it all the time in middle/high school, but this year I decided to embrace my curls and stop using heat on it for the most part, so thank you! ❤ (also yes i'm aware of the irony of commenting about wearing my hair natural when it's a video where you straighten yours haha 😂 it looks beautiful either way 🩷)
I grew up dancing, was at the studio 20 hours a week when I was a senior in high school, and just got back into it about a year ago in my early 30s. I take a jazz class every week with a group of highschoolers, and I love it. I'm no where near SYTYCD level or anything, but it's nice to know I can keep up and hold my own with dancers half my age. Plus, I'm stronger now than I was in high school and pick up choreography a lot quicker than I used to. It just goes to show that it's never too late to pick back up an activity that you loved as a kid, or to start a new activity or hobby as an adult. :) I'm not a runner, but I love watching your running journey.
Sierra, I’m really proud of you. What an accomplished woman you are; Mom, Wife, Sister, Friend, Influencer who makes a huge difference. I’m a former runner (I hike instead of run daily 4 kms) and what you’re doing is amazing 🎉; CONGRATS on that. We need to applaud the ability to “start” any type of physical activity. Body is one thing to work with “working out” but it’s such a mind game for me. Mentally, I used to go back and forth through any of the long(er) runs or races I did. 2 weeks to break a habit and 6 weeks to make a new one. Well done ❤️
@@gabbihoyt5425I’m happy they went to the mountains and found snow! I was watching her pack all that gear and thinking about how Denver/ NoCo has had almost no snow this season 😅
Omg sierra! I saw a little carry-on suitcase for kids that’s also a scooter that grace may love in a few years! I’m unsure what age kids can use a scooter… but they’re so cool anddddd it lets her carry her own bag!
Hi Sierra :) I love you and your channels and have been watching since his channel first started. I just wanted to say that you really inspire me and make me feel much more confident about being a parent some time in the next few years. I feel like you give a really good and realistic view of what parenthood is like. Keep being you.
You should look up Marie Kondo folding technique. I do a hybrid of a Marie Kondo/roll technique with a few packing cubes and it seriously helps me fit so much more in my suitcase! I binge watched packing videos and now I’m a pro! Disclaimer: I do only have to pack for myself and sometimes my dog so I definitely don’t have to pack or worry about bringing as more stuff, but you might find it helpful! 😊 I experimented once for a 2 weeks trip, trying so many different packing methods and it won!
I do this, too. I'm such an efficient packer that I can easily fit everything I need, but I now have to worry about going over weight instead because everything is packed so densely! We usually fly Alaska Airlines and their limit is 50 lbs.
CO is so gorgeous, I went for the first time a few years ago and fell in love. Best part, my hair didn’t get frizzy at all hahah (I live in a very humid climate!)
What’s wonderful about this trip is that though Grace has seen snow before, she is now at an age where her brain is starting to make long-term memories that will last for her entire life, so all of these experiences will likely stick with her.
(2:30) "it's gonna be friggin cold out".... Me in Central Pennsylvania (1/15/25) thinking about that it was 19 degrees out this morning, as I headed to work, but felt like 1 degree because of the wind chill. I'll take Sierra's "friggin cold" any day now!!
Would love to see you try the Dyson air straight! I have a similar hair texture to yours and have been eyeing it up for a few months now but I’m skeptical lol
Hey! What diaper bag do you use for travel? Do you take the belt bag and the diaper bag on the plane? What about a carry on? Flying with a baby for the first time in a couple weeks and as an avid over packer qnd preparer, I'm stressing!
My hometown is in Montana- I’d recommend you pack more warm gear, especially for your legs, feet, and fingers, even if you aren’t planning any outdoor activities. Just going for a walk can be very cold, but wonderfully beautiful! ❤

Hi Sierra, I’d love to watch a segment on what you do to feel safe while running outdoors as a woman!
Same!! I’m always on edge when I’m running by myself
Me too.

I'm so glad you decided to keep the vlog channel. I love your videos. Thanks for the video.

Your hair looks so healthy!! All that time letting your curls do their thing really shows when you straighten it 😍😍

As another over packer, the debate about needing a bigger suitcase is always so real lol!!

Packing to fly with two young kids is NO JOKE. You did awesome!
❤❤❤Hi Sierra...i just love hearing about the family adventures..you and Steve are such great parents❤❤❤❤❤take care.....
Glad you guys are safe!
I’m from Colorado so I was so excited to see this title! Enjoy our beautiful state ❤️
Me too. Makes me laugh though that everyone always worries about the snow when we've had not very much of it this season.
Me too ❤

Another one from Colorado!
@@Dev-ld4gi ya exactly. I left my comment before I saw they were in the mountains. Lol
As a Canadian watching the packing of all the winter gear when it's barely into freezing is funny 😆
Same. It's -1°C here and I wore a sweater outside lol my coat was too hot
@@Natasha.08 Yeah I saw it was around 8 degree celcius where they were. I'd be in a sweater and definitely wouldn't need gloves or a hat hahah
@@autumnssssss It was the same when I was in the middle east. It was around 17 degrees Celcius (62 f) and I saw people wearing hats and scarves LOL
1. Well done on run
2. Enjoy family time (good luck flying with kids)
3. Your straightened hair looks like when I first followed you!

I loved this video ♥️ You’re a joy & I appreciate your realness. Thanks for sharing.
Sierra, ma’am, you’re looking so healthy! I’m so proud of you! You’re very inspiring ❤🥰
I do really miss the old opening music though 😉
so happy you kept the duck sweater even with all the decluttering you've done in the closets

Girl I just wanna say you have been looking so amazing lately!! ❤
I love watching people pack tor trips its always exciting
I want to travel to Colorado so bad especially in the winter time. It just looks so magical.
I would suggest different packing cubes. Like eagle creek, get some small and medium size ones and compression bags.
Congratulations on your longest run ever!!!! ❤

Honestly, I got into running in 2024. I completely understand the wonderful feeling of being older and having more fitness than when I was a teen.
I love traveling so much! You got me excited about my solo trip to Hawaii next month!
hey i just started watching the vlog, and i just wanted to say sierra, you look great! love that jacket on you
Welcome to Colorado! 🥰 have so much fun!
Prematurely commented 😂 *looked like you had so much fun!
Thanks for walking us through!
You’re not even 30 yet! I keep forgetting you’re so young! ❤️❤️❤️
Girl white is your color!!!!!
Whahoo Sierra! Congrats on completing your first 9km! You are so incredible!
Wow that view in Colorado 💙

Love the straight hair!!
So happy you got to experience my favorite hotsprings 🍓
Have a lovely trip! Your hair looks lovely... 😍
I’m going to Colorado with my 4 year old + almost 2 year old in may…this is hitting the spot!
I have curly hair and haven't straightened it in legit 10 years but seeing yours straightened makes me want to do mine! What straightener do you use?
What is the coloring app? I want to find one for my 3 year old and some of them really suck haha
You should really look into the compression cubes for packing! Packing cubes are awesome, but compression keeps take it to the next level
Would love to see you try the Dyson air straight! I have a similar hair texture to yours and have been eyeing it up for a few months now but I’m skeptical lol
Looks like an awesome trip!!
Definitely recommend compression packing bags! You can use your own body weight to compress them down. Love them for travel
I’m so jealous, I want that goose jumper 😭
That white is 🔥🔥🔥 on you!
My hair always looks lighter after straightening it as well!! No idea how that works, but it's true.
Love your hair straightened
We got to Colorado every year! We visit my parents and go skiing! What ski resort were you at?
Hey! What diaper bag do you use for travel? Do you take the belt bag and the diaper bag on the plane? What about a carry on? Flying with a baby for the first time in a couple weeks and as an avid over packer qnd preparer, I'm stressing!
Was that Strawberry Springs? Love that place!
Got some altitude training in! How was that? 😂
You are such an inspiration as a mother, wife and woman honey. I am 40 years old and I love getting all kinds of tips from you !!❤
Where in Colorado is this is wanna go!
I'm also going to colorado for 3 days and now im wondering if the 1 sweater im bringing is enough :/ Im also bringing a puffy, warm ski jacket.
My hometown is in Montana- I’d recommend you pack more warm gear, especially for your legs, feet, and fingers, even if you aren’t planning any outdoor activities. Just going for a walk can be very cold, but wonderfully beautiful! ❤
Maybe also bring some under thermals (aka Long Johns)
just me, a plus sized CO mom of two littles the same age as yours, wanting to hang 😊 Hopefully you had a great time!
A new pj for every night? 🤯 Wow..Now I feel like a weirdo. I have the same several nights
🐥WOW
Glad you guys are okay! Thinking about you and the wildfires going on.
She’s in San Diego which is about 2 hours from LA. So sad but glad she’s far from the fires!
You are GLOWING!
New intro?
Hey, probably best not to say ‘low on the totem pole’. I know a few of my Native friends find it offensive. Love your content though
Steamboat!
Girl sierra I’ve said this twice…please stop saying low on the totem pole
From an Indigenous subscriber
Oooof with the “low on the totem pole” comment 😣
Come to Wyoming. So much better.
Am I the only one that packs only one pajama set? Such a waste of space to pack multiple pajamas. Maybe for a baby cause you know accidents 😂
did you fuel during your run? it might help with the wall in the second half!
