What a coincidence. I’ve only recently watched the movie for the first time ever and I totally fell in love with this score :) What was really awesome was that I’d already listened to it in a long classical playlist, without knowing where it was from. So when Howl and Sophie walked through the sky for the first time and this lovely tune came up like a bang I jumped from my seat and told my friend “Hey I know this theme!!! I know it from somewhere and I love it!!!” Hhahah
this is EXACTLY what happened to me.. I had listened to this before and it was and still is so entrancing that I remembered it instantly when I watched the movie
I can truly feel homesick. I moved from my natal country. My grandma, who was always with me (moved with me to where I live now), died in the pandemic. Everything I can call "home" is dead now. Even if I truly go back. There are just scraps of a memory that is in the past. Even though I still have a mother and a Lil bro, we, as a family, feel a hole, a piece that is missing. We feel so alone. The family that's left, is far away, and the most important one, is in heaven.
It's raining🌧️ all day today. So im painting while listening to music sitting right next to the window🪟And AND LUCKILY I FOUND THIS TODAY. Wooow🤦🏻♀️!!!

howl's moving castle is the best movie i've ever seen. and the soundtrack, always makes me feel nostalgic the time i watched this anime for the first time. it's kinda reminisce
I’m one of the biggest howl’s moving castle fans ever but I can’t comment how I feel about it 😭 There’s just too many feels.. I’ve had a lot of dreams of me flying just like Sophie and howl and howl’s moving castle is my favorite movie ever 🥺 I can’t comment how I feel because I feel like my comment won’t nearly describe how I feel about everything howl’s moving candy 💔
I had to rewatch this movie to realize it was about how howl is super shallow and Sophie made him realize there's more to life than being superficial. Hands down my favorite Studio Ghilbi movie!
I loved the movie the first time I saw it but after reading the book and watching it again I didn’t like it as much. Maybe it’s because I watched the English version. It is just hard for me to watch a movie based off the book that doesn’t follow the original narrative after about halfway through. It’s the same with Nausicaa for me. The movie by itself is good but the book for Nausicaa blows it out of the water
This song is sooo good. The most vibrant contrabass really sound like the pipes of the moving castle, the speed of the music simulates the movement of the castle. I think this composition is divided in 2 parts, the first more romantic and dramatic, the second more fun and carefree, just like the movie. Fantastic music absolutely love it!
I literally just looked this up while thinking about my mom. She passed away in 2019 so its still fresh. This was one of if not her favorite movie. And this song always helps me remember the good times.
I’m so glad everyone here is saying the same thing I’m feeling. I’m ugly crying on a bus listening to it and feeling so grateful to feel all the feelings.
Imagine waking up in a place where the first thing you'll hear in the morning is the chirping of the bids, the rustling of the wind, the sound of nature, generally. You'll open the window and sip your coffee while enjoying the sight and the fresh air. You'll grab your book by the wooden table as you insert it in your comfy bag. You'll wander on the dales with much comfort while the clouds following you around, oh how fascinating would it be to live in such a place! Seriously, I can imagine this as somewhere Howl, Sophie, and the fam would live. Now I lowkey wanna do my story instead of doing my homework for a while lmao jk. I have been blessed to watch this. Stay safe, everyone! Take care xoxo Edit: I wish we can hear more of this music on the radio.
Morning is indeed a bless with that morning breeze and bird chirping. But for night time? Nope. Insects flies attracted to your lights, centipedes crawls, spiders (big one) says hello too on your walls. And dont forget sometimes snake hide in your plumbing. True story
This song has always given me "Waltzing in an abandoned ballroom by yourself" vibes. It brings such peace and beauty and yet a feeling longing remains...
POV You are packing up to leave the place you once resided. On your way to the new house, nostalgia hits and makes you remember everything. Reminisce about every thing that you hated and loved. The people , weather, and the food. But you realize everything is going to be better than before. Why , because wherever you go, it's going to be home
I remember listening this to this for the first time and it was the first piece of music to make me shed multiple tears. This piece is unbelievably memorable and it holds a special place in my heart as i’ve listened to a whole bunch of orchestral music however this one remains the only piece to ever make me shed tears just due to how beautiful the entirety of it is. Every time I hear the low strings play during the chorus it is a part I cannot get enough of.
When I heard that Studio Ghibli was closing I honestly couldn't believe it and did not even touch on the topic for a month before I realized that there was only a hiatus when Hayao Miyazaki was retiring back in 2014 and that *NO* they were not stopping production because they couldn't get enough profit from the box office. They have a new movie coming out approximately this 2023 called "How Do You Live". And if you're from the future and somehow I haven't been isekai'd yet, please remind me that this comment still exists.

What a coincidence. I’ve only recently watched the movie for the first time ever and I totally fell in love with this score :)
What was really awesome was that I’d already listened to it in a long classical playlist, without knowing where it was from. So when Howl and Sophie walked through the sky for the first time and this lovely tune came up like a bang I jumped from my seat and told my friend “Hey I know this theme!!! I know it from somewhere and I love it!!!” Hhahah
Good for you!
@@leecha3444 :D
this is EXACTLY what happened to me.. I had listened to this before and it was and still is so entrancing that I remembered it instantly when I watched the movie
That's great!! Now try watching Sprited Away....... I'll sure you'll like it even more!
I'm really curious what the playlist you heard it in was. I love classical music and i'm always looking for new playlists to listen to :)

As a classical music enjoyer I see this as an absolute treasure and will be part of my beloved playlist! ❤ so beautiful
2:17 The field looks like Howl's secret garden.. so beautiful
Yeah, it does!
It looks like a canola field. In real life, they kinda stink.

this piece is the proof that you can feel homesick for a place you have never been before
hits hard .. yeah
How did you know 🤧
Past life things, could it be
I can truly feel homesick. The family that's left, is far away, and the most important one, is in heaven.
behold where God is found -
When me and my family watch Ghibli movies, Joe Hisaishi never ceases to amaze us.
It's raining🌧️ all day today.

How on earth can a piece of music you feel joy and sorrow at the same time. Unbelievably overwhelming. An utter masterpiece
Such as life my friend!
me to, i felt so happy yet feel some kind of sadness
Interesting take! The way I perceive it is a bit different. I envision it as something so joyful you can't help but to cry.
Welcome to the amazing concept of nostalgia. Where Sadness and Happyness dance together.
As life is 🌳
There is not enough words I can describe this in any of the languages I know how beautiful this is
I know it seems dark, but I want this played at my funeral with the understanding that my soul will be dancing and gliding along to this hauntingly beautiful melody.
Imagine Howl and Sophie with you, levitating and running while in the air, smiling happily and enjoying the view.
Or if you're one of us that's attracted to howl, then just imagine Howl while you're Sophie (Without the curse).

this makes me feel so nostalgic for a memory i don’t even have. it’s a bitter sweet feeling. i feel happy and sad at the same time whenever i listening to this. i also, weirdly feel a deep connection to this song.

howl's moving castle is the best movie i've ever seen. and the soundtrack, always makes me feel nostalgic the time i watched this anime for the first time. it's kinda reminisce
One of a kind like all the other Ghibli movies
Who think that every movie that Ghibli studio Made is so wonderful, heartwarming, calming, romantc??
I had to rewatch this movie to realize it was about how howl is super shallow and Sophie made him realize there's more to life than being superficial. Hands down my favorite Studio Ghilbi movie!
I loved the movie the first time I saw it but after reading the book and watching it again I didn’t like it as much. Maybe it’s because I watched the English version. It is just hard for me to watch a movie based off the book that doesn’t follow the original narrative after about halfway through. It’s the same with Nausicaa for me. The movie by itself is good but the book for Nausicaa blows it out of the water
Going round and round, as if everything were joy, life goes on without getting anywhere.
Its amazing how a song with no lyrics, can tell a story.
All classical music do the same thing to listeners. It all depends on if we are capable of understanding or not.
Honestly, I feel so BAD for the people who havent discovered this Channel
Even sorry for the people who don't know studio ghibli and Hisaishi-san's work!!

I love the movie, this song is iconic. But today I'm here because Namjoon played it on the piano on IG. It makes want to watch the movie again
I hadn't cried since the day my Dad left, but this song has brought me to tears every time without fail.
I literally just looked this up while thinking about my mom. She passed away in 2019 so its still fresh. This was one of if not her favorite movie. And this song always helps me remember the good times.

Take care xoxo
Edit: I wish we can hear more of this music on the radio.
Morning is indeed a bless with that morning breeze and bird chirping. But for night time? Nope. Insects flies attracted to your lights, centipedes crawls, spiders (big one) says hello too on your walls. And dont forget sometimes snake hide in your plumbing. True story

The Studio Ghibli movies wouldn't be as exciting without Joe Hisaishi's music! I love this song so much! This song is definitely one of his bests.
This is one of several reasons why I love the Studio Ghibli movies: very beautiful music.
Their movies r boring, but their animation, coloring and music are really great.

You are packing up to leave the place you once resided.
On your way to the new house, nostalgia hits and makes you remember everything.
Reminisce about every thing that you hated and loved. The people , weather, and the food.
But you realize everything is going to be better than before.
Why , because wherever you go, it's going to be home
What a beautiful song to monologue in your head to about something really specific related to traumas. (May or may not gave done that 3 times now)
I remember listening this to this for the first time and it was the first piece of music to make me shed multiple tears.
