I was listening to the original recording of this song (Serge Lama, who co-wrote it about his own experience with a woman he loved) on Montreal radio in 1974... and I first saw this video of Lara's performance when I was living on Haida Gwaii in 2001. I've been listening to her sing since the early 1990s, and in this performance she SLAYS this song. One of her best *ever*.
I felt like she was telling him how she fekt, but that he didn’t care. Every bit of her singing , heart and soul went into that song. Like she had really experienced the breakup and how she really felt.
