      A lot of people have made it a play room. I prefer my kids toys in their room. We are slowly turning it into a home gym 🏋🏽‍♀️

    I had fond memories watching this! In 1972 my hubby was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri where I met him. After getting married we got post housing. It was a beautiful brick 3 bedroom house (it was just he and I, no kids yet). We were there for about 6 months then hubby got stationed to Miesau, Germany. The housing in Germany can be a little different depending on where you are. We lived off post in an Army rented 14 story high rise. The apartments were beautiful but they had typical German appliances meaning a mini fridge like the ones college kids use now with a freezer space that would hold maybe 2 pounds of ground beef. Lol The stove had 2 burners, one small one large, but the small one wouldn't work if the large one was on. Then there would be about a 5 gallon water heater above the kitchen sink to do dishes and about a 10 gallon one by the bathtub to take a bath or to wash his fatigues in! Washing and starching fatigues in a bathtub is not fun! Then wringing them out and hanging them to dry. Then having to iron that wrinkly mess!! But I kept his uniform and boots spit shined! His Sargeant would let him off early every Friday afternoon because he always looked perfect. Sorry for rambling on....just so many good memories! You have a new subscriber here! Btw, your family is beautiful!

    I lived in two houses in Hawaii. One was a ranch house the Earhart neighborhood in Hawaii. I had a secret alleyway to swing which was mostly private to me. The only downside of this house was that my parents had to deal with cockroaches a lot. I also got to walk to and from my school Nimitz Elementary in Hawaii from this house because it was so close. One time my friends Annika and Nadia slept over in this house. It was a nightmare as they would not sleep at all. This was also where began my journey with my dog Henry.
    I also would play at wooden playground close to this neighborhood and one time I saw a rainbow at this playground after it rained. This wooden playground is also where I celebrated my 9th birthday with my friend Annika and Nadia. Annika and I shared birthdays because other birthdays were 4 days apart from each other.
    Then Sometime later in 2006.We moved houses again this time to Gemini Avenue and It was a two story house and the backyard was small. I would often ride my bike in our court of this neighborhood. I would play games on the Tag game channel too on tv although this channel is not around anymore.
    I also would have potlucks with my neighbors and inflatable water slides too. We celebrated Grace birthday in October 2007 and Bethany 5th birthday in November 2008 together and We celebrated Thanksgiving together in November 2008 and Christmas 2008 and a gift exchange at the Christmas potluck and I also had valentines day party once at our court in February 2009 and I party with the other kids at Josh and Remmy house. The parents meanwhile celebrated the holiday at our house and I pour my drink into the popcorn bin. It was my very celebration last with everyone before we all had to move out of that neighborhood. As they were tearing down those houses in that neighborhood. One time me and the neighborhood kids buried a bird together.One time my friend Soyna from school came to play with me and the neighborhood kids at our court one day this was before she moved to Oklahoma.
    Gabby and Bethany and other kids.
    I also remember my friends Gabby and Bethany. I met Bethany outside on the court of house one time and she had moved from Germany to Hawaii. I remember her mother mentioned this to me. She loved playing with play dough with Gabby so i got her some play dough toys for her 5th birthday in November 2008.
    I also did a playdate with Gabby at her house one time in November 2008 the day after her birthday. One time Gabby went over to Bethany house and her dad did not know.I told her dad and he got annoyed because he was looking all over the house for her but he understood. Then the day came where Gabby had to move to a new neighborhood it was so sad for Hannah that Gabby gave away her pool table to her one time Hannah even played with the hose with me in her backyard but she got into trouble in the end when her mom found out. One time Molokai got out which was Gabby dog who has probably passed away and gone now im sure and I told Ian who was gabby brother and he was like no. One time Ian also vandalized a shed with some of his friends as well and I also remember me and my friends buried a bird one time.I also dinner with Bethany too on June 6th 2009 and that was my last time seeing her. 2009 was a rough year for Bethany because her dad was in Iraq at that time that I was leaving Hawaii she told me about him leaving for Iraq when were outside together one day in January 2009 and she was so sad when she learned I would be gone from Hawaii before her dad would come home from Iraq . One time Gabby climbed to the top of her Dads car one day. One time I found Hannah shoe under a bush after her mother Brandi could not find it one day because back then my vision was really good as a kid.I also welcomed Bethany dad home one time. One time gabby hit her playhouse with a baseball bat. One time I did a race with the neighborhood kids on December 10th 2008 and I came out first place and we ran down alley back in the court where our houses were.
    Balda Children
    Sometime in 2006 or 2007 After Kathleen and her Huesband Dave and her daughter Grace moved into our neighborhood from Ohio. She and her husband Dave adopted 3 kids Jack and Kai and another one who name I can spell who became one of my friends in Hawaii. One time Jack tried run me over with his Scooter and he got in huge trouble. One time I help Kai find his harmonica after he lost it outside. One time Jack found a backpack I left outside full of toys. Also one time I welcomed Dave home after he been away somewhere. We also celebrated High school graduation together in the neighborhood. One time Jack said he was climb a tree to kill himself and I told his dad and he was like no no Jack. One time Jack pretend a stick was a gun outside which I thought was not funny at all at the time.

    I love that layout of house and that there is no carpet! My brother in law lived in a house like that but on Schofield and they put their dining room table in the front room and I think a playroom area. My 5 year old son was watching this with me and asked if we could have the fridge with two doors again. I miss having that! I hope the water situation is better now. I haven't heard anything about it in months!

      I’m so sad there is no carpet 🤣🤣 I rather vacuum then sweep and mop! I haven’t had a fridge like this since I left my mommas house so I’m thrilled for all the space. We are too scared to drink the water but we haven’t had any issues with taking a shower 🤷🏽‍♀️

    The bonus space would be a great play space for the kids! Separate technically but still there and you could even get some of those roller shade curtains to hide the mess. Like the ones for outdoor porchs hahaha

    • @dominiquedixon
      @dominiquedixon ปีที่แล้ว

      We got offered the home the same day we went in to apply for housing. It honestly all depends on the neighborhood you want and the number of bedrooms you need.
