I don't think it was a factor in this match…but I wonder whether teams that spend their off season in windy Tenerife (like the Swedes) are better adapted to these conditions than folks who live in sunny Cali…

Really hard to play against 3. Your 2 opponents and the 1 wind!! Benesh did what he had to do, the 2 kids from Sweden are faster and more adapted to these conditions. So you have to get creative and it worked, really did.
You can't blame everything on the wind. The difference between the two blockers was palpable. Benesh will have to improve drastically to ever reach Hellvig's level.

Personally, I love it. Shows crazy skill to play at this level in challenging conditions.

Personally prefer to see top players using their skill to battle the conditions vs. windless stadium courts where every rally lasts about 6 seconds.

I believe they are under strict orders not to call anything. In reality, you really just need people calling lines and scoring as the head official seems to be an honorary position at this point.
