Camino a Santiago Day 28: Sarria to Portomarin

I am now less than 100K from Santiago. And I got my first blister. There goes my superhuman feet theory.
I’m also now sharing the road with what seems to be 10x more people as Sarria is the starting point for nearly 50% of all pilgrims on the French Way. And yet, if you try, you can still find your little corner of zen.
Which brings me to Portomarin. My arrival town for the day captivated me instantly; because of both, the river crossing to get into it, and it’s unique history…after being purposely destroyed and relocated in the 1960’s.

You can easily recognize the new pilgrims when you get Sarria. There is a big contrast in their clothes their faces. I remember that called my attention when I was having breakfast in a random bar. Congratulations for your videos 😊🤙🏻

Well said.Every person should walk their own camino not the camino of other people. Its not a competition.Its a spiritual journey finding meaning,discerning, reflecting about your life. Or just enjoying the walk.
