You might have noticed, we BTS ARMYs don't like to associate ourselves with the general kpop fans. You see, this is because that kpop industry tried it's best to get rid of BTS & ARMYs. This may be controversial but we consider ourselves separate from kpop. In the previous years when ARMYs weren't as big a fandom, others used to step all over us & aggravate us by disrespecting BTS but we couldn't do anything as we were small. There was even an incident where on the 1st exclusive BTS concert, when BTS & ARMYs were so proud of ourselves for having our own concert, it was supposed to be our happy moment but antis spoiled that as well. As ARMYs came out of the venue to gush over in happiness of the successful concert, they saw defaming things being trended against BTS & they broke down crying outside the concert venue. When BTS started getting known we were subject to even more hate that they didn't want us to be part of their "kpop family" becoz we were "the most toxic" fandom for defending BTS. We had enough & officially declared ourselves not part of kpop on October 14, 2018. I kw this might sound extreme to some ppl who haven't been in the fandom during while we were dealing with all the stuff but we had no choice. So it's only BTS for us. We love BTS & BTS only. Now it's not that BTS don't have fans from other grps, they do. The multifandoms, they r fans of BTS too. Tho some r good & unproblematic, others shove BTS under the bus & refuse to support them when it comes to defending them. That's why we only trust full purple- blooded ARMYs. Our trust has just been too much tested by outsiders & ones who conduct a "social experiment" on ARMYs like we're some bacteria under microscopes. The hate that BTS experienced is just way more on scale than other bands that's for sure. The knetizans r proof of that. Even the citizens of Korea acknowledge it. See groups didn't have to do & go through half the stuff BTS went through as they were from big agencies & companies so they automatically were granted spots on broadcasts or programs becoz the "Big 3" (now it's no longer the big 3 agencies ofc since BigHit earns more than all combined with only BTS) controlled the media. They still do in most cases. That's why the achievements of BTS was down played & kept under wraps. So bad that ppl were ignorant to the fact that a Korean grp won a billboard award for the 1st time ever. Sorry for dumping all this on u, I just wanted to share some more & explain why we might seem so protective. It in no way is meant to deviate or berate u if u do come to love other than BTS & become others fans as well. We understand ofc every grp works hard & they deserve nth of the sort that BTS & ARMYs were subject to. Everyone deserves happiness. But it always was only BTS for ARMYs & always will be only BTS & ARMYs. It's BTSPop for us.
Wow even me as a new Army didn't know that I became a fan of BTS 2 years ago around summer I do stan other groups to but BTS I'd my ultimate group they were the one who got me into K-pop if BTS disbands or something I will be done with K-pop

Their hardship is very different, in terms of how antis gave it and the intensity. They get it daily for doing what they're doing, and ARMY also had to withstand it too. This is the only thing I asked, and probably other ARMYs too; but do not speak of them, I speak of myself. Since the amount of hate we receive is really unbelievable, we're really protective of BTS. But you guys have been so genuine and supportive of BTS, and speak good words of them and us, ARMY too. For that, I am very thankful. BTS is literally that one group that had gotten the most hate hashtags trended against them and it is the ugliest thing. Even as I'm typing this, this had happened, again, against Jk just a day ago and it's seriously disgusting. That is the reason, as others have pointed out, why Army is so protective of the boys. Also, there were indications that there might be paid antis so, no, it's not just about the fandoms either. What this video didn't cover was the fact that despite the successes that BTS has had with their albums and on Korean charts, it wasn't until around 2018 when they hit it big on BB that their own local tv/news networks picked up on their news or are even willing to cover them. They threw them questions about death threats during press conferences, hoping to get a rise out of them. Imagine how disheartening it was for them when they had to face more difficulties back home even as they grow in success in the US. At that point, it was pretty evident that other companies were actively trying to push down the success of BTS and along with them, Big Hit. BTS and ARmy literally went through so much, every day. It's tiring, heartbreaking, challengin but at the same time warm and lovely to see, which is why the bond between BTS and Army is strong and will remain strong. It was tough but now I kinda find it funny how they still keep on hating when BTS and ARMY has moved on. I was there throughout the plagiarism hashtag and the blue house petitions, had lots of arguements with a lot of people... When I realised that I was just giving myself a tough time engaging with them, I stopped and just focused on BTS. In my opinion, this is why ARMY is the best fandom to be apart of. For most of us, we don't look for the negative in others (be it other fandoms or Kpop groups), we mostly ignore the hate and focus on the positive and the achievements that BTS have made. I can say, for me personally, out of the other "fandoms" I've been apart of (not sure if they where actually called fandom back when Backstreet Boys was popular) ARMY is defiantly more of a family mindset. And my daughter and I are very proud to be apart of it.

I am 50 years old and these 7 young men have stolen my heart. I have now been a fan for almost three years and something I am most proud of is how they not only have risen above the hate, but they've continued to spread a message of self-love, acceptance, helped so many people, and have remained some of the most humble people I have ever seen. It would be so easy after going through what they have gone through, then to experience success, to have huge egos, but that's just not who they are or ever will be. Watching their personal growth and seeing them learn to love themselves has been so rewarding and has helped even me. I'm old enough to be their mom yet they have inspired me so much.
People in korea are very harsh and brutal with their words if they don't like somebody (not every korean is like that but some.. like I have noticed that if they don't like a certain someone they would directly ask them to die.) I mean.. I have seen to what extent they can go to defame or dispirit someone.. we have lost many precious souls from kpop because of that like Jonghyun from Shinee, sulli from f(x), goo hara... Sulli even did a live session on her IG two days before she died and was crying and said "why do you all say such things about me. What did I do?" It seriously broke my heart.. I can't understand how can people have this much of hatred just because they don't like them. Why can't they let them be. And after sulli's death I saw a toxic tweet which stated " first Jonghyun then sulli and now it's time for Min Yoongi (yes, our suga) they were actually talking about suga to commit suicide. I cried so much that how can people think like that.. are deaths joke to them? They knew suga had gone through depression that's why they pointed it out. Sometimes I don't know why people do this. It just hurts so much and there is no way to change their mindset. Another depressing thing which is going in kpop right now is that Chen from EXO confessed about his relationship and his marriage... And now his fans are boycotting him saying that he has betrayed us (those stupid girls expect him to stay single forever. They think of kpop artists as their personal property) I swear if anybody will try to stop bts from dating I'm gonna rip their heads off. And again I'm so sorry for writing so much. But I literally have nobody to share and talk about these things... So.. yeah.. whatever 😅 SARANGHAE 💜💜💜

The song at the end when the crowd was singing it for them is called 2!3! They wrote the song for ARMYs when BTS and the fandom was going through a very rough time. The song is heartbreaking but mostly hopeful esp knowing that it was written to comfort each other.

Towards the ending of 2019 Taehyung also got death threats, alot of us thought it was hoax, but we couldn't risk it ,so armys told Bighit and they got better security. It's really scary when they get death threats and a big amount of us get really defensive and sensitive (which I don't blame) ,but the amount of hate that they get.. *I can't even imagine what they feel* ...I've been an army for 3 years (since 2017, that's when BTS started growing more) but even though you guys weren't there at the beginning, you are now with us aren't you? They are still treated unfairly even today, take the lack of radio play overseas as an example. They achieved so much with 7 and ON without much radio play, shows how incredible BTS and army are.
Thank you guys for reacting to BTS Hardships. There's a reason why ARMY is protective (perhaps overly sensitive at times). Most people don't know how much BTS went through to get to this point. They don't realize that when they talk about loving yourself, following your dreams despite what haters say, about overcoming whatever comes, these messages come from a real place. 'ON' is a legitimate anthem and declaration! I really appreciate the effort and sincerity you guys put into your reaction to BTS! I also want to point out that while every celebrity (particularly 'Idols') have to deal with antis and the harsh realities of the spotlight, BTS's situation is somewhat unique. There's a really good explanation video that explains the situation well (I'll post the link when I find it), but essentially, coming from a small company they didn't have a senior group or large bank account to open doors for them, and while members from other groups are friendly (often close) with outside groups and discourage fan wars, that isn't necessarily the case for the influential companies of those friends. On a more positive note, the song at the end is '2! 3! (Still Wishing For Better Days)' and is the first official song written specifically for ARMY during a time when both BTS and the fandom were having a hard time. This song acknowledges the hard time and offers comfort. In that last clip, ARMY continues to sing this song after the last refrain. BTS is no longer singing to ARMY, but ARMY is singing/offering comfort to BTS. It's one of my favorite moments.
Still remember those hard days during epilogue concert,first daesang,break wings things. I joined fandom during 2014 but never really saw any other fandoms supporting BTS. Till date,every other fandoms only unite just to downgrade BTS & it hurts so much to see this everytime. That's why we are so protective of them.
I think that watching this kind of videos explaining our boys hardships is for new ARMYs almost a duty. I was here when all this shit happened because I became an army around June 2016 which was before they really became famous and to see the hate towards them when they won something or just rumors to destroy their reputation and careers was upsetting and stressful for me tbh. I just blocked and reported accounts who did those so BTS hopefully don't see it. I'm proud now that BTS is at a place where they are untouchable and they are now more confident in themselves and these petty hate comments don't affect them now. I watched them grow to be who they are now and I hope I could see them again especially in this new tour.

In my view for being an ARMY since 2015 and been there with BTS for some of these hardships, our struggles are not over..it's just that we learned through the past that positivity, love and support for each other will always get us through...I wil not come clean by saying that every fandom has those immature fans that hate on other groups and cause fanwars but I can also say that most of us in the ARMY try our best to immulate what BTS teach us.. to be humble,to focus on our own goals without doing dirty tricks.. to be models of positivity and support towards good..

I became a kpop fan in late 2012, but I only got to know about BTS around the time "Run" came out, maybe because I wasn't as big of a kpop fan as I am now (and by that I mean that nowadays I watch videos and listen to kpop songs every single day - I'm going to be 25 years old in June btw). It didn't take much for them to become my number 1 favorite group. I love them so much it's insane to me to feel like this for 7 guys that I don't know, and probably never will know, personaly. I'm a multistan tho, and I listen to music from various other groups, some I don't really know much about at all, some I know a bit and even know all their names and who is who but I don't pay much attention except when their comeback songs come out. Right now I have a TOP5 fave groups where I call myself their fanbase name just like I call myself an ARMY, and the one group in 2nd place got there so fast after I got to know them it almost gave me whiplash but BTS will always be my number one and nothing will ever change that.
Last week when bighit released black swan mv, army just get attacked on twitter and it trending no 1 at korea. Some fandom call army 'outcast fandom' because army just have each other and all other fandom hate us. So international army together make a new hashtag to say thank you to korean army to put down the hate hashtag. BTS struggles is different from what other boybands go through. They were constantly look down upon, no one believed in them because they came from a small company on the verge of bankcuptcy, people laughed at their names (band name). They were targeted, accused of plagiarism and buying their way up the charts, have death threats, get constant hate from other fandoms even for little things. And te saddest part is they still get hate to this day. It's ridiculous!
I wanted to recommend their new song , Moon (Jin’s single) but to be honest I would love it you reacted to their whole album. Like no joke I’d sit there and watch a 2 hour long video of you reacting to it no problem. Only if you want to ofc! Thanks again for your content I love it.

That is the reason why Armys are over protective with the boys. They already suffered too much and we just wanted them to be happy and proud. I became a fan late 2018 and how I wish that I was there with them during those trials and hardships. But I know I was lucky enough that I join this fandom💜

You might have noticed, we BTS ARMYs don't like to associate ourselves with the general kpop fans. You see, this is because that kpop industry tried it's best to get rid of BTS & ARMYs. This may be controversial but we consider ourselves separate from kpop. In the previous years when ARMYs weren't as big a fandom, others used to step all over us & aggravate us by disrespecting BTS but we couldn't do anything as we were small. There was even an incident where on the 1st exclusive BTS concert, when BTS & ARMYs were so proud of ourselves for having our own concert, it was supposed to be our happy moment but antis spoiled that as well. As ARMYs came out of the venue to gush over in happiness of the successful concert, they saw defaming things being trended against BTS & they broke down crying outside the concert venue. When BTS started getting known we were subject to even more hate that they didn't want us to be part of their "kpop family" becoz we were "the most toxic" fandom for defending BTS. We had enough & officially declared ourselves not part of kpop on October 14, 2018. I kw this might sound extreme to some ppl who haven't been in the fandom during while we were dealing with all the stuff but we had no choice. So it's only BTS for us. We love BTS & BTS only. Now it's not that BTS don't have fans from other grps, they do. The multifandoms, they r fans of BTS too. Tho some r good & unproblematic, others shove BTS under the bus & refuse to support them when it comes to defending them. That's why we only trust full purple- blooded ARMYs. Our trust has just been too much tested by outsiders & ones who conduct a "social experiment" on ARMYs like we're some bacteria under microscopes. The hate that BTS experienced is just way more on scale than other bands that's for sure. The knetizans r proof of that. Even the citizens of Korea acknowledge it. See groups didn't have to do & go through half the stuff BTS went through as they were from big agencies & companies so they automatically were granted spots on broadcasts or programs becoz the "Big 3" (now it's no longer the big 3 agencies ofc since BigHit earns more than all combined with only BTS) controlled the media. They still do in most cases. That's why the achievements of BTS was down played & kept under wraps. So bad that ppl were ignorant to the fact that a Korean grp won a billboard award for the 1st time ever.
Sorry for dumping all this on u, I just wanted to share some more & explain why we might seem so protective. It in no way is meant to deviate or berate u if u do come to love other than BTS & become others fans as well. We understand ofc every grp works hard & they deserve nth of the sort that BTS & ARMYs were subject to. Everyone deserves happiness. But it always was only BTS for ARMYs & always will be only BTS & ARMYs. It's BTSPop for us.

When addressing BTS' hardships, we always say to like, new people just starting to delve into BTS, please do not connect it to kpop. Their hardship is very different, in terms of how antis gave it and the intensity. They get it daily for doing what they're doing, and ARMY also had to withstand it too.
This is the only thing I asked, and probably other ARMYs too; but do not speak of them, I speak of myself. Since the amount of hate we receive is really unbelievable, we're really protective of BTS.
But you guys have been so genuine and supportive of BTS, and speak good words of them and us, ARMY too. For that, I am very thankful. Thank you for your hard work, I wish you further happiness and many good days or events.
BTS is literally that one group that had gotten the most hate hashtags trended against them and it is the ugliest thing. Even as I'm typing this, this had happened, again, against Jk just a day ago and it's seriously disgusting. That is the reason, as others have pointed out, why Army is so protective of the boys. Also, there were indications that there might be paid antis so, no, it's not just about the fandoms either.
What this video didn't cover was the fact that despite the successes that BTS has had with their albums and on Korean charts, it wasn't until around 2018 when they hit it big on BB that their own local tv/news networks picked up on their news or are even willing to cover them. They threw them questions about death threats during press conferences, hoping to get a rise out of them. Imagine how disheartening it was for them when they had to face more difficulties back home even as they grow in success in the US. At that point, it was pretty evident that other companies were actively trying to push down the success of BTS and along with them, Big Hit.
BTS and ARmy literally went through so much, every day. It's tiring, heartbreaking, challengin but at the same time warm and lovely to see, which is why the bond between BTS and Army is strong and will remain strong.

When I realised that I was just giving myself a tough time engaging with them, I stopped and just focused on BTS.

In my opinion, this is why ARMY is the best fandom to be apart of. For most of us, we don't look for the negative in others (be it other fandoms or Kpop groups), we mostly ignore the hate and focus on the positive and the achievements that BTS have made. I can say, for me personally, out of the other "fandoms" I've been apart of (not sure if they where actually called fandom back when Backstreet Boys was popular) ARMY is defiantly more of a family mindset. And my daughter and I are very proud to be apart of it.

What makes me happy is that in a recent video they said that bts really love who they are now and they love themselves.
I am 50 years old and these 7 young men have stolen my heart. I have now been a fan for almost three years and something I am most proud of is how they not only have risen above the hate, but they've continued to spread a message of self-love, acceptance, helped so many people, and have remained some of the most humble people I have ever seen. It would be so easy after going through what they have gone through, then to experience success, to have huge egos, but that's just not who they are or ever will be. Watching their personal growth and seeing them learn to love themselves has been so rewarding and has helped even me. I'm old enough to be their mom yet they have inspired me so much.

People in korea are very harsh and brutal with their words if they don't like somebody (not every korean is like that but some.. like I have noticed that if they don't like a certain someone they would directly ask them to die.) I mean.. I have seen to what extent they can go to defame or dispirit someone.. we have lost many precious souls from kpop because of that like Jonghyun from Shinee, sulli from f(x), goo hara... Sulli even did a live session on her IG two days before she died and was crying and said "why do you all say such things about me. What did I do?" It seriously broke my heart.. I can't understand how can people have this much of hatred just because they don't like them. Why can't they let them be. And after sulli's death I saw a toxic tweet which stated " first Jonghyun then sulli and now it's time for Min Yoongi (yes, our suga) they were actually talking about suga to commit suicide. I cried so much that how can people think like that.. are deaths joke to them? They knew suga had gone through depression that's why they pointed it out.
Sometimes I don't know why people do this. It just hurts so much and there is no way to change their mindset.
Another depressing thing which is going in kpop right now is that Chen from EXO confessed about his relationship and his marriage... And now his fans are boycotting him saying that he has betrayed us (those stupid girls expect him to stay single forever. They think of kpop artists as their personal property)

The song at the end when the crowd was singing it for them is called 2!3! They wrote the song for ARMYs when BTS and the fandom was going through a very rough time. The song is heartbreaking but mostly hopeful esp knowing that it was written to comfort each other.

Towards the ending of 2019 Taehyung also got death threats, alot of us thought it was hoax, but we couldn't risk it ,so armys told Bighit and they got better security. Thank you guys for reacting to BTS Hardships. There's a reason why ARMY is protective (perhaps overly sensitive at times). Most people don't know how much BTS went through to get to this point. They don't realize that when they talk about loving yourself, following your dreams despite what haters say, about overcoming whatever comes, these messages come from a real place. 'ON' is a legitimate anthem and declaration!
I really appreciate the effort and sincerity you guys put into your reaction to BTS!
I also want to point out that while every celebrity (particularly 'Idols') have to deal with antis and the harsh realities of the spotlight, BTS's situation is somewhat unique. There's a really good explanation video that explains the situation well (I'll post the link when I find it), but essentially, coming from a small company they didn't have a senior group or large bank account to open doors for them, and while members from other groups are friendly (often close) with outside groups and discourage fan wars, that isn't necessarily the case for the influential companies of those friends.
On a more positive note, the song at the end is '2! 3! This song acknowledges the hard time and offers comfort. In that last clip, ARMY continues to sing this song after the last refrain. BTS is no longer singing to ARMY, but ARMY is singing/offering comfort to BTS. It's one of my favorite moments.

Still remember those hard days during epilogue concert,first daesang,break wings things. I joined fandom during 2014 but never really saw any other fandoms supporting BTS. Till date,every other fandoms only unite just to downgrade BTS & it hurts so much to see this everytime. That's why we are so protective of them.
I think that watching this kind of videos explaining our boys hardships is for new ARMYs almost a duty.

I was here when all this shit happened because I became an army around June 2016 which was before they really became famous and to see the hate towards them when they won something or just rumors to destroy their reputation and careers was upsetting and stressful for me tbh. I just blocked and reported accounts who did those so BTS hopefully don't see it. I'm proud now that BTS is at a place where they are untouchable and they are now more confident in themselves and these petty hate comments don't affect them now. I watched them grow to be who they are now and I hope I could see them again especially in this new tour.

I think I said this many times, this video never fail to make me cry. Army are overprotective because the boys suffered a lot in the past. That's why they said now, we are not in pain anymore, they are happy now and keep telling army to not worry too much.. BTS X ARMY we are family..

BTS has only armies and there agency bighit... armies are protecting them no matter what, because you cant just hate them when all they want is to show love and share their music to the world and be heard and show their passion. Armies are like their mothers outside bighit, we look after them.
This is the reason why ARMY are soooo protective of the boys. They've faced a lot of hate and hardships even until now. When ARMY sees racist or xenophobic comments against BTS, that's the time where ARMY unites to protect and say good things about BTS. Like what RM said in MicDrop, haters gonna hate, so in the long run, like on Twitter, we just block those haters and we doesn't engage to their drama anymore. We just focus on supporting BTS thru charities, streaming, buying theie music and other BTS related contents. That's what keep us all going. Knowing that BTS already shared a lot of love to ARMY, we wanted even the haters to appreciate what love is. Of course there are still many problematic ARMY but majority of ARMY are mature and knows how to handle hate from antis. 😊

The hate will never stop tbh. Yes, a lot of other kpop groups do struggle a lot to get where they are but BTS, they struggled struggled. BTS were treated like shit and til this day, people still can’t accept the fact that BTS are big now. They still continue to get death threats especially V , he got a death threat late 2019, around December (if I’m not mistaken). It’s just crazy. But anyways I enjoyed your reaction.
BTS are still going through this sort of stuff. When they were doing an interview about the Map Of The Soul: Persona release they were being asked about plagiarism still. I'm glad that you guys felt everything from the video. Its defiantly a good video to get to know BTS and how they become who they are today. I became a kpop fan in late 2012, but I only got to know about BTS around the time "Run" came out, maybe because I wasn't as big of a kpop fan as I am now (and by that I mean that nowadays I watch videos and listen to kpop songs every single day - I'm going to be 25 years old in June btw).
It didn't take much for them to become my number 1 favorite group. I love them so much it's insane to me to feel like this for 7 guys that I don't know, and probably never will know, personaly.
I'm a multistan tho, and I listen to music from various other groups, some I don't really know much about at all, some I know a bit and even know all their names and who is who but I don't pay much attention except when their comeback songs come out. Right now I have a TOP5 fave groups where I call myself their fanbase name just like I call myself an ARMY, and the one group in 2nd place got there so fast after I got to know them it almost gave me whiplash but BTS will always be my number one and nothing will ever change that.
Last week when bighit released black swan mv, army just get attacked on twitter and it trending no 1 at korea. Some fandom call army 'outcast fandom' because army just have each other and all other fandom hate us. So international army together make a new hashtag to say thank you to korean army to put down the hate hashtag. But its still chaos on twitter and i bet BTS also can see it 😔 This is why army always stick together. K-Diamonds 🤝 I-Lovelies = together we fight for BTS 💜

BTS struggles is different from what other boybands go through. They were constantly look down upon, no one believed in them because they came from a small company on the verge of bankcuptcy, people laughed at their names (band name). They were targeted, accused of plagiarism and buying their way up the charts, have death threats, get constant hate from other fandoms even for little things. And te saddest part is they still get hate to this day. It's ridiculous!
I wanted to recommend their new song , Moon (Jin’s single) but to be honest I would love it you reacted to their whole album. Like no joke I’d sit there and watch a 2 hour long video of you reacting to it no problem. Only if you want to ofc! Thanks again for your content I love it.
It's funny because we armys always get the wrong ones, regardless of the story, the boys go through SO MUCH, every day, we always end up being defensive, because we know the boys, and we just want them to be well, it's really crazy this, people expect us to be silent, the truth is that we will never be silent.
