But if you think about, she got a point! All of JoJo's enemies are always attributed to a higher being/deity that is often contributed in Medieval era and the JoJo's are the human in Renaissance era Man, she gave us JoJo's fandom a gateway to enjoy paintings of those era. Trully a gem from Holo

I saw an interview with Araki sense I and he pulled two reference books: one on renaissance sculptures and the Vogue magazine. Then it hit me like a truck, of course these are his references! If Raden chan has spotted it without prior knowledge, it shows just how good she is at noticing this stuff and making the connection. It’s impressive.
I can watch Watame's, Sora's or Aqua's streams and understand like 70%+ of what they're saying, as their Japanese is pretty easy to understand. When I listen to JFT Raden, a mental image of a wall of Kanji forms. Like listening to a expert talking about their favorite subject. So I enjoy when people clip her, because I think she's pretty neat!
*Raden zoomes in* Raden is very cute up close... ...Oh right, she's talking about extreme contrast around the eyes in a JoJo panel. Let's focus on that. ...Look at her cute face as she's talking... DAMMIT, FOCUS!
Now I'd really like to see if Raden has any comments regarding Blue Period. It seems like an interesting way to see whether she agrees with the struggles depicted in the manga of if she has her own things to add.
Ah yes, further proof that Raden us the ULTIMATE woman of culture. God I love Re-gloss. They’re all so goated it’s near impossible to have an oshi (tho for me it’s like Sophie’s choice between Raden and Ririka).
Sometimes I feel like "culture" as a term has been abused by anime fandoms as "being a degenerate", so it's hella refreshing to see the term finally being used by what it's meant to be.
@@donnycorn3086 yeah blame the meme, but I admit I definitely use the term interchangeably between cultured, and “cultured”. I aspire to be a cultured man, but I am also very much so a “man of culture” 😅
She sounds like my highschool art teacher lol. Anyway, from my experience most of baroque was from church. Thus it's mostly from the west influence. As you know, Araki is one of the biggest westaboo you'd ever know. I don't think he really influenced by the art itself, but the aesthetic of western society who influenced him. So, IT JUST WORKS, as wise man in the internet says.
Araki influenced a lot of his portrayals and clothes from modelling magazines, lots of haute coture inspiration from that era in the 80's and 90's to early 00's
Thank you for another long translation!! I will go back and watch the others again now edit: I appreciate how you do use zoom ins text changes and sound effects, and it is not overdone, great work!!
Who else would read JoJo manga and this "This reminds me of the clash between Renaissance and Medieval art styles!"

Araki is known for his love of Italian culture, so I think Raden is on the money here. It's especially evident in Golden Wind, which is set in Italy.
i always love Raden passionate speech about art when she finds it in something that would be missed by common folks
I may not actually watch Raden's streams due to language barrier, but I appreciate her as a vtuber a lot due to stuff like this.

Oh my god, a girl that talks about baroque and renaissance art. Instant Waifu material.

Eventually some art galleries and museums gotta have her voice for those audio tour devices. Scripted mostly but with her flair
