one of my greatest memories is from the night Andrea Pirlo retired (the "notte del Maestro") and Clarence scored an amazing header, we could only say OOOOOH and that reaction from San Siro was absolute wild...Pirlo-Gattuso-Seedorf is the greatest midfield ever and nobody can change my mind

I'm a Netherlands fan, and this episode warms my heart as Seedorf was one of my childhood heroes and one of the reasons I got into becoming a staunch Oranje fan(also family on mom's side are Dutch).

Clarence was and is still a class act. One of my favourite midfielders of all-time. He basically had no weaknesses and had an incredible right foot. I think if he would've won a major international tournament with the Netherlands, he'd be considered their version of Bobby Charlton.
