@sydneytrainsvlogs I agree. In fact to me, the biggest screw up is the timetable of November 2017. It removes a lot of express services and removes a lot of aspects that are supposed to be a regular thing (such as stations between Parramatta and Lidcombe as well as Burwood all having Western Line services on a regular basis). I hate what the previous Government did by adding the unnecessary T2 Parramatta and removing lots of fast trains for Harris Park, Granville, Clyde, Auburn, Lidcombe and Burwood. I also hate how there are no trains on the Sector 2 T2 passing through Burwood on Platforms 5 and 6. It makes my trip from Cabramatta to Central slower and more packed. I hope they remove Burwood from limited stops T2 services and reinstate Burwood on the T1 Western line for faster trains to Central on the T1 Western and T9 Northern lines of Sector 3. Now the network is in one heck of a mess thanks to all the maintenance backlog. Glad the new Sydney Trains timetable will be introduced in the middle of this year along with the new metro line between Chatswood and Sydenham following a year of the Sydney Rail Repair Plan.

The previous Gov screwed us in so many ways.
Looking forward to seeing these new trains :)
Why do you say government?
I would believe it was TfNSW, they have a poor history for procurement
@@DAEMTAM, because TfNSW are Government employees, and they did what the government told them to. Ultimately the decisions made by TfNSW were put on them by the various Ministers of Transport of the day.
@@johnlang4198 That's not how government worked for the procurements I was involved with, Minister approved business case/funding but doesn't choose end product... That was the agency.
On 22nd Dec XPT Sydney to Casino the XPT Broke down at Taree and had a Replacement Coach to Casino. They need WIFI on the new trains the XPT internet coverage is not good. The XPT came in 1982 the same year I was born.
Honestly they should scrap the new regional train project if it’s going to be a complete failure and a cost blowout, keep the XPT, Xplorer and Endeavour trains as long as we can
Tho you have to look at the life of these trains, some spare parts are no longer available, and what you need to keep them running? By stripping another train for spares, leading to a bad publicity lmao if that happened
It would be a very bad idea, the current Regional trains are in such bad condition that all you can hear is creaking when travelling on them.
Apparently no better than trams..ask the Pennine express operator..all going after 4 yrs.
Disgrace that none of these orders were given to Australian Industry. Was there a Tender Process ? More Foreign Imports.
International tender.
Under the previous government (and i guess partially the current) we can’t do a thing in Australia.
Wait so everything is now getting replaced:
K sets- To Be Determined
T sets- To Be Determined
S sets- A sets
C sets- B sets
V sets- D sets
Intercity: CAF DEMU Trains
K Sets - Suburban OSCar
T sets - New train
Hopefully there will be no more Waratah series 3 coming. I mean Waratahs are good trains overall especially for drivers except it is made by overseas factories. But i just want to see something a little bit different than that.🤔
@@ew713 Maybe a Tangara 2.0
These trains are so disappointing. The model isn't suited to the 12 hour trips and no sleeper class when we are seeing the sleeper comeback in Europe (these 12 hour night trips would be perfect for a night train).
Note: I don't blame the manufacturer for the train issues, I blame TfNSW they always stuff up the procurement by over customising off the shelf models to be used not how they were designed.
Hi Phil I’m on holiday in Coffs Harbour
These trains won’t make any difference to Travel times as the track quality and track alignments are still crap
However TfNSW doesn't see that as an issue. PTV actually see that's somewhat.
Vline Vlocities can go 160 and do in parts of Victoria, but the standard gauge Vlocities aren't allowed to do this on the Melbourne to Albury line. It's a terrible track
@@DaleDix how fast does the Vlocity go on the albury line?
@@DaleDix yea no wonder why there’s no passenger trains to the Sunraysia region anymore. That bit where I said PTV actually sees the issue, I was being sarcastic, they’re completely useless, they don’t even know how to give Mildura a proper efficient bus network.
We need the Tangaras Trains to go and get better train's as i don't like Tangara.
Tangara will be around for a while yet.
Tangara 2.0 will be interesting if they build them
@@sydneytrainsvlogsi wonder what a Tangara 2.0 be like speaking of that? Interesting if it will be an all new generation of rolling stock or an evolution of a Millennium/Waratah??? Time will tell I guess, since they can’t base a brand new train off a 40 year old design.
Oh goodness, they look nothing like Sydney trains :(
And when are the flippin Mariyung trains!? They are still not in service!!!
Honestly, they aren't as ugly as i was expecting
I like the look of them :)
@@sydneytrainsvlogs a minimal yet modern look :)
Exactly :)
How old are the V-sets?🏳🌈
Over 40
They look like a 1988 version of d sets
Also heard they go 160km/h max. Slow af! I bet my grandpa can run faster than that
Average service speed will be much slower due to ARTC's maintenance schedule (or lack thereof)
160kmh? That isn't slow. Also they dont even look 1988 version of d sets..
@@transportfanaussie they still look like d sets though
Pretty uninspiring looking. I hope there will be a cover for that ugly, gaping hole for the coupler. That’s pretty crude and utilitarian looking, hardly the way to get future travellers interested in taking the train. Nowhere near as stylish looking as Vline’s V’locity.
These>VLocity in every way.
That is the ugliest and most revolting looking so called replacement regional train !!!
Almost all CAF products have suffered cracking issues its a mystery why governments around the world keep using CAF products
WOW TOKYO SUCKS NOW!
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Hitachi class 800s should have replaced all of them
But it needs to be Bi-Mode
The problem with that would be the lines. They would be fine for the long distance like Sydney to Brisbane but the smaller lines like the South Coast and Hunter wouldnt be able to have the long trains on them. Most of the stations couldnt be upgraded to handle the long trains due to the area that the stations are and the heritage listing. Not only that, I dont think it would be worth paying for that for the Kiama to Bomaderry.
@@TrainsForNSWVlogs they are
