It’s our favorite thing to be out there ”in the wild” on our bikes! It’s going to get even better in North Dakota! Can’t wait to share 👍 Happy Fourth of July weekend to you and Bruce!
Hello Jamie Jo, we so appreciate your comment and joining us on our adventures. We have never done a trail where we go through water crossings. We were definitely chuckling like little kids the whole time. We are so glad you enjoyed it. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda❤️

You two give me energy to go go go cause I feel old But now I'm inspired I needed this Thanks, thanks, and thanks again.🌎
Cecelia, You are too kind! Thank you for YOUR encouragement! It’s not always easy sharing our lives and being vulnerable so we appreciate you! We exercise to stay healthy (and to be able to eat more ;) especially as we get older, but bike riding is the ultimate way to explore the outdoors. You see, hear and smell all the sights. There is nothing like it! We are proud of you for getting on your new trail bike and getting out there! Check out the AllTrails App to find trails near you 👍👏 Thank you for sharing with us! Keep up the good work! 🥰 ~ Rhonda and Stan
Hey Jon, Thanks for riding along with us! 😅🤣 We appreciate your kind comments. You will definitely be ready for your trip next year 👏 Have you done your shake down trip in your new trailer yet? ~ Rhonda and Stan
WHAT A NICE RIDE. I Love watching the animals out in the wild. Did I here a shi_ in the video when you saw the bison by the trail. Hehehe LIVE THE LIFE….
Hi Tim, yes you did which is extremely rare for Rhonda. She got really scared when the Bison 🦬 all of a sudden jumped up. We always keep a safe distance but those male Bison can run very fast. Thank you for joining us. Stan and Rhonda❤️. Keeping it smooth!!
Isn’t it beautiful? 😍 Even after it filled up it was quiet and there was plenty of room between the sites. Custer has become one of our favorite places ever! Thanks for coming along with us! ~ Rhonda and Stan
Hey Rhonda and Stan. I’ve been binge watching your videos…SD, MI, WY, and Utah. You do such a great job on your videos. I’m sticking close to home right now due to my mom passing in June last year and since I’ve been almost full time caregiver for my dad while also working full time. Last time I had my camper out was Fall of 2022. Can’t wait to get back out and now I have a new e-bike to take with me. I camped in SD 2021 right by the Mickelson trail but only walked a short portion. Hope y’all have a great season. Be blessed.
Hello Janice, thank you so much for your kind words. You keep watching until you can get out there. Thank you for sharing we will keep you in prayer. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
That was fun! Loved watching it. FYI, there are no bears in SD. So, you don't need bear spray. Many call the Black Hills the banana belt as it doesn't get as cold as the rest of the state. Usually it only goes a little below freezing and then goes back above in the winter. The snow melts quickly there. The trail from Grace Coolidge is a favorite of ours. My husband loves to fish those little pools along it. 38 years ago we discovered Center Lake and would camp there almost every year. Now that we have a big rig we camp at Game Lodge but always spend at least a day up at Center Lake. It is beautiful and much less crowded than Sylvan Lake.
Hi again! We did not know that there isn’t a resident bear population in South Dakota! Wow, thanks for sharing that information. Interesting to hear the snow melts quicker in the Black Hills Region. We used to live in the Southern California mountains and we would have winter for 5+ months out of the year and in June on occasion 😱 We loved it while we were there, but exchanged it for the heat of Arizona 4 years ago 😂 Loved our time in Custer. Game Lodge campground is absolutely beautiful! We imagine you see the bison in that field right out front 🦬 Fun knowing you enjoy the same places we visited in Custer. Thank you so much for sharing! ~ Rhonda and Stan
We were there about the same time as you! We stayed at Stockade Lake South and celebrated our 30th anniversary in Custer. We totally fell in love with SD and can’t wait to get back there!
Hello! Thank you for joining us again. We celebrated our 29th anniversary at the end of May in the Grand Tetons. Oops!! we gave away where we ended our adventure. We absolutely fell in love with South Dakota too. Like we said in the video we would move there if it didn’t get down to 50 below zero in the winters. We have so many more adventures to come in South Dakota. We just wasn’t sure if we could make it back so we did everything we could. There was so much to do. Definitely one of our favorite states. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda
We stayed at Sylvan Lake Campground off hey 87 last September and loved it 😊 there. We didn’t have our E-bike at the time but can’t wait to get back there and try out the trails. Thanks for sharing and being back the memories. Thanks From Wisconsin
Robert, That would have been a beautiful place to camp! Especially in the Fall 😍 We are headed to Sylvan Lake in our next video. 👏 E-bikes are definitely a game changer!! We wouldn’t have been able to do 29 miles in one day on trails like that without them. You will have to ride the Michelson Trail too when you go back 🚴♀️🚴♂️ Always great to hear from you! ~ Rhonda and Stan
@@stuwardw Rhonda was about to bust me in chops if I said Custard one more time. Make sure you a lot of time. Custer State Park is amazing. Are you staying in the park?
Your bike looked like great fun! Thanks so much for the tour of your campsite. I found open sites in Blue Bell campground next May! Now I just have to talk my husband into the trip before I make a reservation. Great video. I’m saving it.😊
Hello Claudia, thank you for joining us again! I can tell you this Custer State Park and campground will be one adventure you will never forget. We still have so much share with you this is just the beginning. We think our campsite was the best in the house. Just tell your husband this will be a bucket list trip!! I also really love the Custer campgrounds. Our site was so secluded and big, when we sat at the campfire, we couldn’t see any other sites. Needles Highway was awesome. I am really enjoying rewatching your videos and seeing the sights we recently visited.
Great ride! Those lakes are beautiful, and the wildlife was amazing. We just may have to get a couple of those bikes before next summer. Looks like y’all had a lot of fun. Keep it up and safe travels. Butch and Becky 😀😀
