OK. I heard Pollini's performence at DG Originals. Honestly, I just like 101 at his album. I'm very curious about live recording. Would you tell me more information?
Pollini, in a live recording from 1973, is arresting. But I always go back to Claudio Arrau. There is a live recording here on youtube that's simply mesmerizing...
I expected Beethoven's 111 (is there another 111?) and, instead, Mahler's 9th...Poles apart, yet under the same setting sun...it reminds me of a poem by John Donne "I have a sin of fear, that when I've spun My last thread, I shall perish on the shore; But swear by Thyself that at my death Thy Son Shall shine as He shines now and heretofore: And having done that, Thou hast done; I fear no more."
You can listen it here on youtube, just search for Pollini LIVE 1973.

I appreciate your interest. 111 is just written thoughtlessly.

What is your favorite 111? I like ABM's BBC performence the most.
Thank you. As you see, I like to talk about classical music. I hope you will continue to talk me in the future. Now, I'm listening to Siegfried. : )
..or is it?
Greetings!
