    I have a question for the theatre food app, won't it disturb people or the time when service men are delivering the food to your seat? What's the solution? To have a deadline and only then will food be shared among a specific time to all? It's pretty obvious you can't share food while the movie is on because service men's bodies will be a distraction, so what to do? Should one get it from the cash counter itself due to pre home ticket booking? Or should there be a wheeling table and enough space between two rows for it to deliver food to every seat in the row with some lock that will be unlocked with a qr code on one particular seat number or something... 🤔

    Does a company REALLY need designers in the long term, or are we just biased as designer? Like IT sector can't run without software devs. Have you asked yourself if you are building a tech startup, will you hire full time designer or just hire freelancer? Can you launch a product build without designer? I am preparing too but back of my mind, I am having these doubt.

    • @DesignPilot
      @DesignPilot  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question. Be the person who really understands how to define the best user experience for a user. No one should be able to do that better than you. Product managers are the only people who come close to us, but they often don’t have the eye for design and attention to detail.

      @@DesignPilot Do we become a liability after sometime when everything around product/startup starts settling?
      Don't you think it is very hard to find another job as a PD due to less number of jobs already in the creative-IT market ( not only during recession) after company announce mass layoff ?
      Most products these days follow almost same UI structure, why will company hire lots of designers and provide good salary, instead they will buy ready made design templates and few designers for minor changes?
      does companies give us importance as they give to software developers?

    • @DesignPilot
      @DesignPilot  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @aj-lan284 Not everything works out of the box. Designers are needed to solve very specific problems. It’s not just about designing the Home Screen or a booking flow or something like that.

      @@aj-lan284 @DesignPilot I can confidently say many of us are hungry for more information and guidance (a couple of videos) on specifically these aspects alluded to in this conversation here.
      1. What it's like and what it takes to be an indispensable asset to a company in terms of problem solving and designing for a product's continuing expansion and growth, vs the sort of designer that's seen as less useful once the design and experience of core functions has been taken care of.
      2. The kind of grittier and more complex (and perhaps future-facing) design problems that companies are willing to seek out and value designers for, in the current era of oversupply of designers who are good at the usual apps and product categories which are now more about minor variations on solved problems and existing patterns (like your everyday eCommerce app).
      There's a great need for guidance and direction on these areas, given the way the market and industry has been changing over the past year or so.

    Hello Chethan, When you say consturct screen do you mean that we must construct an existing app screen or can we create our own design?. I struggle to construct a screen from scratch. I sometimes think I don't have the creativity. And how we know the exact height and width of the screens when we construct an existing app.Please I'm very curious about this.

    Hi chethan, your videos are really provides great value to the newbies like me! i have a doubt about design system. Does design system only applicable/useful if you are working in a company? I mean shall we build our own design sytem so that we can use it for our own designs. For eg i am applying for lot of ui/ux position. First thing they give is to complete an assignment. So creating components for each project takes lot of time and sometimes i miss the deadline. Hence should we build our own personal design system so that we can use it universally for all our project?

    in 2017 there were A LOT of senior designers, you just didn't know them. It was your arrogance through ignorance wher you thought it was 'easy, anyone can do it' that made you blind to all the experienced people doing it for years. An analogy is film making, jsut because you watch films doesn't mean it's easy to make a feature film, or any good video for that matter, there are hundred, even thousand of skills to make something that many people WANT to watch... but the hope of 'ease' as in 'how hard can it be, im experienced in USING these things", makes people believe it's much easier than it actually is. Sadly, 95% of digital designers of all disciplines within that are absolute trash but there's always been a role for them somewhere... those people will either have to get better or be replaced with AI or more senior designers with broad skillsets and experience.
    The biggest problem wannabe designers have is all these bogus courses being sold to them. It's sickening.
