When will people realize Necropotence is a combo card and not a draw engine like Phyrexian Arena? You use it like Peer into the Abyss alongside other tutors to dig deep for the one card in your deck that you need. Using it for value will rightly put a massive target on your back from the other three players until you can't leverage your life anymore and you're just stuck with no hand and no life. Use it once to pay 20-30 life and win on the spot, otherwise take it out of your deck and run standard card advantage like Sign in Blood.
It doesn’t have to be a combo card or even like adnaus you can also use it the way it was first originally used in a control strategy to just constantly keep your hand full and constantly keeping up interaction against other decks. Like Zur uses it mostly for a control hand filling purpose because it’s really really good at that. There’s a reason necropotence is one of the strongest cards ever because it’s so insanely versatile and good at everything it does
Came here to see other people's Mishra lists, a bit disappointing to see the misplay with Machine Gods Effigy. The copy made by Mishra can't copy something else, it has to be a Skyclave Apparition.
Waaay too greedy. Could see his death coming a mile away, especially when he was so gung-ho about activating Kelsien when he would have been better leaving it back as a blocker then pinging something in response
White plume adventurer isn't a triggered ability and nobody can have priority during the untap step. So you wouldn't have been able to tap kelsian during that time.
