Techno is fun, it's the absolutely easiest to mix without question but when it starts coming down to insane vocals and transitions in other genres things get super tricky unless you set all your cues and legit memorize the song lol

Yeah true but there are djs that mix 4 decks nowadays that makes it a bit harder

Thankyou man! I always really like the percussive techno I hear in the underground rave scene, it took me a while to figure out what style it was and I finally am able to create sets with this sound. Glad you liked it :)

@@OleM33Yea me too. But I notice that whenever I spin hardgroove, it just flows. It makes so much more sense in my head when it comes to layering, introducing new synths etc.

im playing live for the first time on march 16th and I randomly found this set and it is very similar to how I will play. Groovy mixed with harder techno.

Good mix ♥ I loved it but hey! Techno is a subgenre of EDM while Hard groove is a fusion of Hard techno with new elements! This was actually more of a Hard groove set
Thankyou for the compliment! All genres are kind of blending into one another. Hardgroove to me is more happy with more active live loop percussion. In my previous sets (1-8) I’ve been playing ‘real’ hardgroove. I classify this more as a techno set within my boundaries of what I play, because this has an agressive amount of low end

This is so my taste, I love your mix. I’m a complete beginner, how would you recommend discovering this kind of music
What I normally do when I try to find new music is the following: i add about 3-7 tracks in a private soundcloud playlist and use the radio option to let the algorithm suggest me tracks. If I like a particular track very much I use the radio of that that. Once the playlist grows the algorithm knows better what you do and don’t like

Are those JBL doing the job? Ive got a pair of krk classic but am thinking of getting a pair of jbl 308. Advice?
Yesss! For dj’ing for sure, I got KALI 8-inch monitors for the studio. For dj’ing it doesn’t really matter in my opinion. As long as transcient response is good
@@OleM33 I figured. JBL also last much longer as well because of their stress tests. Of course Kali has some ex JBL guys. I like how JBL has more size preferences and affordability.

Hi! Unfortunately my table is not stable enough to put the speakers much higher they tend to tip over. Luckily the monitors in my studio are perfectly lined up, whatever works for me, right :)

Although I do agree with you, the general public wouldn’t classify this as hard techno because this is much more groove oriented. If I put “hard techno” in the title I would get so much comments saying this isn’t hard techno because it doesn’t have hardcore kicks and psytrance basses. So I made a judgement on what title would attract the right audience for my style of techno. Hope that explains my choice to you. Hope you still enjoyed watching :)
@technolemusic *I'm just old school bro... Real techno to me is Jeff Mills, Derrick May, Robert Hood, DJ Bone, Ben Sims etc... But you're right... The masses would class this as REAL TECHNO... Where I would put this in the category of Sara Landry, Rebekah, etc... Respect it all though... Every style has its place* ✌️
