      @Mirza Khokar many of the shop keepers and food stand people seem pretty hospitable. You don't have to be rich to be kind. I have experienced incredible kindness by villagers in Pakistan.

    Believe it or not this same city and these beautiful people have suffered from terrorism for past 20 years and given so much sacrifice .. but still they are the most hospitable and happy among all of pakistan .. their hospitality is unmatched .. hope you had great time there and all of pakistan .. !!

      Visa mushkil hy..only relatives k liyay , other wise apko must host kartay hum..my village is just outside peshawar n there were many hindus in our village ,in fact majority shops were of hindus ,muslims would do farming mostly..all went to India after 1947..

    Pakistani people are really great. When i was in korea alone .One Pakistani unknown guy whom i had just met and he took me in his house and made so many Pakistani foods for me. And packed more foods almost for 2 3 days. Really great hospitality. Love pakistan for nepal 🇳🇵 ❤️.

    The 700 one's also not a scam, there will be shops where the same could go upto 1500... it depends where you are buying. Bigger shops and cities will have higher prices with branded stuff. e.g. Levis denim costs 1000rs to make but gets sold for 8000rs minimum overseas. This market is wholesale so you are getting wholesale prices and ofcourse the folks are welcoming.

    I'm Pakistani from the UK. In the UK People fight over who HAS to pay the bill, but in Pakistan people fight over who GETS to pay the bill :) Ahaha a funny difference between the two.

      Hehe Turks do this too, there’s even a word for it: “Türk kavgası,” a “Turk fight.” But I think in Pakistan they really keep living that generosity and hospitality to the fullest.

      @@samuelyang9729 Not exactly but usually in the west people are more likely to be picky when dividing up the bill, looking at who had the more expensive entree or the extra glass of wine. After living in Greece and Turkey for years, this habit really irked me.
      I think it’s that in western and affluent societies, people value independence and avoid the feeling of obligation to each other, while in eastern societies, people value that bond.

      Urdu has so many arabic, persian, turkish, english , hindi words. It's mixture of different language . Spoken urdu is similar to hindi.

    Amazing! Loved the hospitality of Pathans bros. About prices usually cities like Karachi, Lahore and Peshwar are less expensive as compared to Islamabad. Besides, we can get it in cheaper price if we get from normal bazars like this and whole sale dealers like you did. Max look like a Pathan, I mean he wore shawalar kameez too, no one probably have guessed it, if he wasn't holding a camera or speak :P

      though the new road now bypasses the Darra bazaar itself, one has to go down from the main road now, some major manufacturers have been mainstreamed and regulated now and they've shifted their production to Peshawar city, but the numerous small ones are still there. a 30/32 bore is 12000-15000 pkr nowadays. 15000÷175 will give you the dollar rate now, essentially less than 100 bucks US. The variety in 9mm is astounding nowadays. any kind of semi/fully automatic rifles, it is boasted that if you want a nuclear weapon made there just bring a sample and they'll replicate it.

    I love your video's Chris! You are unique as you speak the local language. I am half Turkish/Scottish. Urdu is a language that has so many Turkish words so I can understand most conversations. Urdu has hundreds of words that are Turkish, Persian and Arabic all of which are in the Turkish language. So the answer to your question is yes I can easily get an idea of most conversations. Not all but most.
