watched the whole video, Loved every bit, kinda going through the same curve, and this video helped me get clarity , Thank you and keep doing what you do.
I can relate a lot to balancing school and photography work. It's very overwhelming and hard to manage sometimes. I also stick to 2-3 classes while photographing all the home games because it would be too much otherwise. It's also easy to take on a lot of photo jobs and it's hard to keep track. There are opportunities either way whether you want to stay in school or focus on your job. There's lots of opportunities in school to utilize career centers, internships, mentorship with instructors and enjoy clubs and events on campus. It's an advantage to have that degree to be able to have more options and a good chance to get a job. At the same time, it also benefits to have your own schedule to focus on your job and improve photography wise without other assignments. Whether you want to think about finishing school or focusing on photography, think about what kind of images you want to make and focus on, how to build your portfolio, and how you want to grow as a photographer. Either way, you've worked very hard and created a lot of great work, you're going to do a lot of great things in the future. Happy New Year!
Thank you so much for sharing this, it really means a lot to me. It’s reassuring to hear how you’ve managed the struggle between photography and school and you’re totally right about the benefits of both paths! Your advice for thinking about the kind of images I want to create and how I want to grow really stuck with me. It’s such an important reminder to stay focused on the bigger picture. Your encouragement means so much, and I hope you have an amazing New Year as well! Thank you again!
