  • Hello, Beautiful Creatures!
As requested - today I'm giving you an in-depth look at how I pierce my vinyl headed dolls! This technique will work for both ever after high and monster high custom dolls - and probably other's too but I have yet to experiment with smaller dolls! This is by no means the only way to do custom doll piercings however this is how I find piercing dolls the easiest and most effective. You can definitely risk hurting your fingers doing this, so please be careful!
    Supplies you will need:
    -Your doll for customising
A pair of jewellery pliers ( the ones I use are from Spotlight and are called:
Crafters choice Simply Divine Essential Craft N Jewellery 3 in 1 Pliers)
    -Jewellery supplies of your choice:
    -Dress pins I Use: www.spotlights...
    -Eye Pins I use: www.spotlights...
Similar would be found on Amazon if you are not in New Zealand or Australia

I've tried this before on some of my dolls (nothing this interesting I didn't go past lobe studs or small hoops) but for anyone else trying this I would recommend pre-piercing the holes with a thin pin or needle, then use a wider needle to persuade the hole to stay, then cut/ bend the dress-makers pin to size before inserting it. I found doing it this way distorted the vinal less and gives you more time to be precise with the placement. hope this helps someone! and great tutorial, I love your vids!!

I'm wondering if you could use a super-fine drill bit with a hand drill? I think it's called a pin vise? I have one and drill bits thinner than a dressmaker's pin--seems like that would be easier to insert, and still hold because you're just stretching the vinyl a bit. Kind of like they do with an actual piercing (proper piercers, not piercing guns).

I would recommend pre piercing the vinyl with a needle before putting in the blunt piercings, that way you have to use less force :)

What a great timing! I was planning to do piercing on my newest doll inspired by yours and here you're uploading a tutorial! You are reading in my mind ;).
For the name of tutorial doll... maybe Eddie, from "education"? :)

Try another coat of Mr Super Clear if you get tiny cracks in the faceup, sometimes it seems to fix itself

Love your dolls and this video-do you or any viewers know about the potential for green ear (eventual discoloration of the vinyl) from these metal piercings? I know to avoid copper but I’m wondering if stainless steel hardware is safe?

Wow! This is a great tutorial.
I have a question, can't you cut the needle after the piercing in order to not be so big inside the head..?

How do you do an eyebrow piercing?

  • @Ysckemia
    @Ysckemia 3 ปีที่แล้ว

i'm not into piercing, but this is helpful and, well, you never know. maybe someday, i could have some use of the tricks you showed^^
some sequences reminded me of tiktok videos i've seen, about a "home piercing challenge" with some randomizer that decides for you where to put a piercing on your face. i saw this through the reaction video of a profesional piercer, and those examples were pretty awful XD

Oh gosh that sounds like my worst nightmare!! Hopefully they watched some instructional human piercing vids before hand hahaha!

@@OfCraftsCurios if they had watched instructional video , they would have it done by a professional, instead of butchering their own face 😂

Your tutorial doll looks like a girl I know from high school. Mckenzie, I think her name was?
