Correct me if I am wrong...but this particular catalytic converter is not CARB compliant? If you use this particular catalytic converter in CARB compliant states, then your car will fail emissions.

Did u replace the sensors? Very important to replace sensors with converter also when u purchased the converter. Did u check what emission ur car is and buy accordingly to that emission?

I went to rock auto and they are all almost 300$ that didn’t include the tube of stuff you used around the gaskets nor did it include the actual gaskets… I have a 2005 Honda Accord 2.4l sedan. I’ve had to replace the IAC, MAF, air filter, intake hose (runs from throttle body to air intake box, cabin filter, ac switch relay, the odometer, the headliner, new radio unit, door lock actuator (passenger side), door handle, both driver and passenger door cables, windshield wiper motor, and I’m sure I’m forgetting something but after all of that just this morning my check engine light came back on and after hooking up my OBD 2 scanner it’s throwing a code for the catalytic converter. Now I may swap my spark plugs first, change the oil, and ignition coils before actually replacing the converter. But thank you for showing me step by step on how to do this!!! My car does make this funny noise when I’m accelerating.. like a high pitch whining noise (only when gas pedal pressed) so hopefully after ALL of these issues I’ve had my baby will be new again! I absolutely love my Accord
high pitch whining noise is most likely the power steering pump. check the oring for it and it might have a small leak and draw in air. It should get worse when it is cold out.
Was this Walker efficient? I bought one Wlaker and its a crap, it doesn”t clean the gases, the engine is in perfect condition, but it didnt pass the inspection.
It has life spam it did its job and car has over 100k miles also symptoms of oil consumption could be one and carbon build up however fix of oil consumption could be need of engine rebuild but I do have videos where I recomend do catalytic clean and oxygen sensor replacement those could also cause it. Hey buddy my cat got stolen. They didn’t weld a flange at the end of my exhaust when it goes to resonator but it’s a direct bolt on catylytic converter. Should I be fine like this? Also the muffler shop when welded I think messed up my battery somehow my not disconnecting the battery terminals and grounding. Thoughts?!
Well they suppose to disconnect the battery when they do welding but u should be fine about the flange thing I usully do it the original way so u can do repairs down the road normally this way u would need welding anytime u need repairs but that would be year from now and about the battery I’m not sure but how old is the battery?

U have to go by the emission federal or California best thing to do is call the dealer give them the vin number and they can tell u the emission it car is and u can buy accordingly to that other wise u will end up putting in wrong emission and check engine will pop up

I watched lot video, but, this one is most detailed how to work with cat convertor bolts and nuts. Also ONLY here it was able to see the Front pipe connection. So, I am sure it is possible to remove it easily too. Look - Front Pipe, Oxygen sensor 1, Catalytic Convertor, Oxygen sensor 2 means $150 x 4 = $600 Labor saving. Plus, online parts = $700 saving. Total =$1300 saving. Great. PS: cat convertor at car service is $520, online is $76. Stupid.

Maverick Person 420 is catalytic converters code but you can hook up scan tool check the oxygen sensor out put. And determine it but I would change both will give u better gas milages

2rogarcia1989 yeah that’s normal it might be slow response from the downstream oxygen sensor before u replace the catalyst converter check out the out put of the oxygen sensor u might have to take that to good mechanic with good scan tool not those $40 scan tools or clean out the oxygen sensor or even change it

@@CMDBoy ok that’s what part says what is ur vehicle calls for anways wheck ur fuses for I would swap out relays for both oxygen sensors but priory to that u can reset the light one more time and see if it stays off also check for leaks in between gaskets some time leak can cause the issue also

I just replaced the CAT and the sensor that goes into the CAT last week. I just got a check engine light. Do I have to replace the air ratio sensor? Could it be that this is why the check engine light came on?
I replaced the upstream sensor now. I took the engine light off. Hopefully it stays off. Last wk I replaced the CAT and the downstream sensor. Wish me luck 🙋🏽♂️

I replaced my converter and the oxygen on a 04 accord 2.4. But when I turn on my AC my idle goes down to 400 and it goes up to 800rpm. It stays like that for like 2-3 minutes and it goes away. Do you know what might be the problem??
I changed the oxy sensor the code it’s p0134 but lithe check engine back on I put the scanner n show me the same code what I do now I don’t think the I have to change the catalytic too right??
You all notice they left the oxygen sensor facing down...so if the driver bottoms out, he will break it...make sure you angle that O2 sensor correctly to avoid that.

It will run but will be loud and u will not pass emission and ur miles will be very poor

Is the code still on after 2 years?
I just replaced the CAT and the sensor that goes into the CAT last week. I just got a check engine light. Do I have to replace the air ratio sensor? Could it be that this is why the check engine light came on?
rsalas921 scan it and see what the code is first before you make any decisions

I replaced the upstream sensor now. I took the engine light off. Hopefully it stays off. Last wk I replaced the CAT and the downstream sensor. Wish me luck 🙋🏽♂️

first the lock washer goes on the bolt side not on the nut side. Other than that good video.
no it actually goes on the nut side
the lock washer keeps the nut on tight, it doesnt need it on the bolt side like they did.

Kassandra Melara you have to change it but it can wait a bit also change oxygen sensors try to buy original it’s expensive or get the walker brand check online on amazon
Why does this go bad mine is going bad i hve a crack in the air filter breather box can the car be over compensating with some gas that resulting in nore gas being unburnt in the cat
Air filter ? I’m not sure if I understand ru referring to the engine air filter or the internal filter of the catalytic

@@anthonydavies959 what brand oxygen sensor did u use? Double check for correct part also. I know these cars I have had problem before it also have relay for oxygen sensor check relay fuse ... also denso brand sensor work good on these accords. Let me know if u discover anything Who did the work ? Urself or mechanic?

I replaced my converter and the oxygen on a 04 accord 2.4. But when I turn on my AC my idle goes down to 400 and it goes up to 800rpm. It stays like that for like 2-3 minutes and it goes away. Do you know what might be the problem??

I changed the oxy sensor the code it’s p0134 but lithe check engine back on I put the scanner n show me the same code what I do now I don’t think the I have to change the catalytic too right??
Francisco Espinoza which sensor did u change this is for the first oxygen sensor
You all notice they left the oxygen sensor facing down...so if the driver bottoms out, he will break it...make sure you angle that O2 sensor correctly to avoid that.
C M sensor is in angle it’s designed in we cannot redesign the parts and there’s no adjustment in to flanges
