Wow it’s really interesting you mentioned the inner child. I try to follow my inner child in a lot of ways and this has come up for me personally on a spiritual level recently I had an epiphany moment in this that I felt called to share recently. I'm always on guard. Yes, I keep getting mixed emotions from someone, so I'm trying not to get hurt by guarding myself. This person is moving towards me but I am still wary. I have been left disappointed in the past. I'm always hesitant with this person but I also let them get close, yet at the same time if they don't prove themselves with their actions I back away. I always put myself first because there is no consistency and they mess with my affections. They just want to be friends as they have said this, yet treat me at times by their words like I mean more to them. I need stability, consistency.
