Honestly on these boots and the ultra,The fact a lot of people including many of you amazing reviewers are praising do show Puma has made a boot that is very much a worthy contender for being amongst the best boots of 2024. This is honestly a redemption arc the Ultra has been needing. The first 2-3 Ultra models were honestly really good(for me at least) and fitted me so damn well but the complete 360 they did last two Ultra were seriously not only bullshit, they were absolutely near blister or feet aching machines. Puma in short killed their own momentum. This however really is a great step back in the right direction. Puma as a brand in recent years have either played safe by being conservative or just made a change that disrupt a winning formula.
love that mate! Glad to hear it
I feel that reaction, they are absolutely mad in terms of just the feeling!
I'm not as hot on them after testing, dont love the heel, but they feel special!
Are u going to make a review of it ?
@@Oliver-wx8sf I will be, yes. Noah will have a playtest review too.
That's so fair! I'm super pumped to try them on a proper FG pitch to see how the soleplate responds, it's definitely not ideal for AG 😂
I feel that these boots are absolutely the definition of a modern HARDCORE speed boot. The latest gen mercs are the widest boots in the history of the line, and the new f50 have trended to be more appealing to the masses with more conservative stud pattern. These puma carbons are extreme, slim, stiff, and very, very aggressive. They're not for everyone, but they are for hardcore speed boot lovers, and they are phenomenal 🔥👏👏👏.
Just got my pair, and I'm going to the pitch tomorrow. Honestly, first time I put them on my feet, I had a similar reaction to yours 😂. It's like, how are these soooo nice! Upper is super pliable, the fit is nice, runs a tad long but I don't know If I could go down half a size, and the sole plate is legit the best plate in history in terms of aggression. It feels like they did not compromise anything on this speed boot. Also I would encourage people to shine a light into the boot to really see the cage system that they have implemeted, very intricate design to their cage.
That's awesome mate! SO glad to hear you've enjoyed trying them on, good things to come I hope!
Puma Ultra 1.1 and 1.2 were the first speed boots that had a toe box that was wide enough for my wide feet. I was so excited that I put a review on Puma's product page praising them for supporting wide-footed guys. Then they immediately went back to super skinny with the 1.3 and I haven't been able to wear an Ultra since. Hopefully this one is as accommodating as the 1.1's.
Hell yeah! 1.1 and 1.2 were awesome I reckon
@@NoahCavanaugh Yeah and at 160 grams, they were amazing. th-cam.com/video/ANeaAWTUEYE/w-d-xo.html
I have the puma ultra carbon, I would day that they are not as generally wide fitting as the first ultras, however because of the upper being nice and soft and pliable, it will mold to the shape of your foot nicely, and the toe box is not super low profile if u like that, it has some room which I kinda like
Your Reaction makes people wanna try these right away !! So curious when I see ur face like that 👏
😎🤝
Thank you for the sizing guide 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
the editing really makes this so much better :D the geniune happiness
I appreciate it mate!
Thank you so much! It was so much fun to edit because of Noah's reactions! 🤣
These boots remind me of the 2022 world cup ball, same colours and design kinda. Really cool pair of cleats can't wait for the play test!
Fair enough! 🫡
Great video as always, these boots look phenomenal.
And the Shock Timer is quite funny too, would be funny to see it come back again, for something shockingly good or bad.
Thanks mate! Definitely will keep that in mind!
Will bring it back when Noah's that shocked again hahaha
Time in shock is amazing love it
😂🤝
Colorway is spectacular
Absolutely yes
YES!!!!
Their V1.08-11 all had some sort of carbon fiber by or in the soleplate. Was probably the start of their research that ended up with this final product. I had the V1.08 and V1.10. For me the only thing I really noticed from the carbon was zero stud pressure. But the studs were also much shorter.
Definitely could be, yeah! 😎
Awesome noah
💪
I was just as shocked as you when you realized the things actually fit your feet. I tried the Ultra on about six months ago and couldn’t even get my foot all the way in. 😂😂
CRAZY!
I,'m very Happy for this review, finally good wirds gir Puma
Definitely!
I want to try them
You should!
i wish they had AG sole plates too
Me too, that would be insane
Would you also like to review the hg (but close to ag) version of this product?
I might mate, yeah! Going to try and get some pairs in
These look sick
Agreed!
Cant wait for the play test am not getting them since my boots are still good.
Fair enough! Coming soon mate
So would you say similar to mercurial superfly 4s?
How do you rate these compared to Phantom GX2 AG PRO?
Not really similar to either mate!
@@NoahCavanaugh oh.
Well what would u prefer? these or the GX2 AG pro? And how are these for wide feet?
Ohhh mate, I can't believe you got Crystal Palace and QPR mixed up! I'm a lifelong QPR fan, and season ticket holder. Unfortunately, it was QPR Aguero scored against. Puma boots always look the business. Looks like they've gone 'all in' on these, to try and turn things around on the performance.
Ah yeah fair enough, they just haven't been in the Prem for a while ☠️
@@NoahCavanaugh True. But we're happy enough in the Championship. No VAR :)
Very nice
So nice
An unrelated question, did you have soleplate separation on the legion 10's? I know you said no in the review, but in case if you wore them after did you have it?
I didn't no
@@NoahCavanaugh Thank you!!!
I found the puma ultra ultimate that were the flagship before this boot with the mg soulplate on a discount and its only 120€ you reckon I should wait for the mg version of this boot to come out and cop that or buy the one on sale puma fits my feet very well so theyd both fit well, what would you do
If the Ultimate fits you well, go with those! You can always buy these later on!
Thes ebook sick
Agreed
Like in my other comment,I feel Puma especially in recent years have played way too safe or make the most unnecessary changes that not only killed a winning a product but killed their own momentum. Puma can make boots whose concepts, designs and ideas that really are out there. Like you look at stuffs like the Powercat series,Evopower series, the final 3 Evospeeds,Puma King SLs,Puma King Exec, the V line and V-konstrukt,in recent years the early Puma Futures or the first 3 generations of Ultras. The boots honestly look quite out of nowhere, have ideas that aren’t even tried or done as well as concepts that were admittedly way ahead of it’s time. Puma just needs consistency of making really good boots and not making too many changes but also not making overly conservative
I agree!
Im gonna buy up 1.3s and 1.4s used while I can. This generation does nothing for me. Btw does Wefoot make a looser fit sock ? Im a size 11.5 with wide feet and the large was stupid tight
Love it mate! The 1.3 and 1.4 were a great generation - despite not fitting in them well myself. They don't unfortunately mate, I don't think they sell anything bigger than a large
Can you do review on puma kings
Already done
Can you do it with the white one.
Maybe!
Anyone know if these are going to release with the mg soleplate/different studpattern for ag?
I reckon they will, but it won’t be Carbon
Hey Noah could you make a video comparing the f50 pro and f50 elite because they look like the same thing but have a $100 price difference
Maybe!
please review some futsal shoes like the nike react gato please!!
Maybe!
Hey Noah, Great review. I have the same pair and I played just 3 matches. The boot was broken. The problem is the carbon part. The carbon was too hard and when u shoot, the carbon will hit the ground so badly sometimes. and the glue was not strong. just 3 matches, I need to go to a shop to add more glue otherwise the whole carbon part will be off from the boot.
Yikes! Sorry to hear that mate
Did you play on artificial turf?
@@lunnchie yes. And it's a very good artificial filed. FG is no problem.
@@ericsun3168 i had 2 carbon plates snap on old vapors back in the day on AG fields.
When will the play test of Nike Tiempo legend 10 emerald will come
Doesn't fit very well mate, so not at all unfortunately
Don't try it on AG Noah.
Please don't. 😅
But man. That Soleplate. Doesn't look like it was made to play ⚽, looks like it was made for assassination missions. 😂
Don't worry hahaha I won't 😂
If anybody has tested them on AG pitch how did it go
Not well 😅 Studs are way too aggressive
Do not use these on AG. Please. You would be better off waiting for an Ultra 5 MG version.
Unless you got good health insurance. 😂
Name a perfect speed boot.
me:Puma ultra carbon.
Love it
this is The defenition of a speed boot
i mean if it was like 30 grams lighter
Nahhh weight has nothing to do with it mate, wait till you try these on 🤓
@@NoahCavanaugh I only play on ag sooo yeah probably not a wise choice for me
@@Zaxstar007speed boots can be 2 concepts, either super light weight, or super responsive stiff. This boot feels like it will actually make u faster (maybe nlt significantly faster bht at least technically even by a split second) due to the much stiffer plate, which mimics the carbon in all of the major running shoes. while super light boots give u more of the placebo effect of feeling faster because of the weightless sensation.
@@baraaamir7891 I know how spikes work I used to be a 100m runner in order for the soleplate to give significant about of energy return it must be so stiff that hands barely bend it like track spikes this is still placeboo
How wide are your feet in cm?
Download my free size guide mate! All the info is there: www.noahcavanaugh.com/product-page/football-boot-sizing-guide
Man, if they release these in a black out with ag plate. TAKE MY DINERO!!!!
🤑🤑🤑
I hate that you're size 9 😂 size 12.5 US myself.
😂
Aren't they women's boots? Perhaps that's where you've been going wrong with Puma 😀
There are 2 versions mate!
