I wish the naysayers in NZ would embrace light rail. For all its criticism of brashness and crassness, SE Queensland - particularly the Goldie - has great public transport, amazing beaches and climate, wonderful public parks and amenities, and good access to some beautiful national, state and forest parks. We rode the G:Link before the Comm Games and loved it. It's been extended since then, and I've read that the final phase is in the planning stages. Meanwhile, Auckland and Wellington are still debating light rail to their airports. Cherish what you've got, Queenslanders.
Agreed. You come from a country that scrapped its last trolleybus system knowing that climate change is a scientific fact. Little wonder why I've not paid a visit in over 20 years.
I love the Gold Coast. This light rail system is wonderful. My wife and I used it in 2019. Excellent.
Tahnk you for goldcoast

GC tram is the best!
i think gold coast has the best tram system in the country.
if the gold coast light rail gets full traffic priority, then so should Sydney's new tram line, which it doesn't
