Stephen, I think what happened there was the AI for DK acted like Chuggaaconroy and got insanely lucky by getting that star out of nowhere. Also when you started to hit yourself with the pillow, I couldn’t breathe. And the thumbnail for this video is perfect.
I guess the computer knew. Which is total bs btw. It paid to switch the sign so it could take a lap. And paid again to get out of the loop. Because somehow it knew there was a star/hidden block on that space. But why then waste the gold mushroom if it can affect the rng?
Mario Party's 3 AI was not exactly the best lol. I'm not an expert, but just by observation they seem to be a downgrade from Mario Party 2 in terms of logic (Paying the sign twice because the AI is programmed to spend money, even on illogical moves), but they definitely cheat by knowing where unrevealed things are.
Flipping the sign twice was just RNG manipulation.
