Two very nice fish. It is worth noting that both species of buffalo are native to the U.S., while the common carp is native to Eurasia. It is on my list to catch buffalo! Thanks for showing the 2 species side-by-side! Dave
Loved seeing those huge Buffalo great fish, haven’t caught one in years. Have had a chance to eat a couple, once at a tavern along the Mississippi in Southern Illinois. This was back in the middle seventies, they were pretty good. Thanks for showing these fish and the differences.
I noticed that you had your hoop net upside down while netting those 2 buffalo carp. The tip of the hoop should be facing up as it'll help with the "scoop" when netting fish. 😅
I caught a big mouth buffalo when we were up there at Easter on a blade bait. Fun fight.

Thank you Fred! They are really fun to catch! I wish I knew a consistent pattern.
I always wondered what the difference was? Those monsters are on my list of fish to figure out how to find and catch the FREAKS!
They are not an easy fish to catch. I would love to figure it out.
I've had a lot of luck with a catfish setup and worms.
@@AnglerX the best way is the European method used to catch carp with a hair rig pack bait and boilies

I never really paid much attention to that. Get them in the bag was the only goal.
Yummy buffalo
I hear they are good.
It is cool watching you catch carp.
My son loves catching carp!
Thanks for the comment!
