I love your story already, can't wait for the book! Q: Do you think you'll raise your own family in the future similar to how you were raised? What are (if any) some things you wished you'd learnt about before traveling? (having come from an isolated life as such?) How do you feel looking back on your life and your accomplishments? When your in a difficult, lonely or scary situation what do you tell you self? Or how do you manage your mental or physical situations. It would be cool to include the above in your book!
I’d definitely read it Chris! So many questions ... but I’d like to know if you ever resented your parents for choosing such an alternative beginning to your life...and in those moments, how did you navigate your thoughts... can’t wait!!!
I want to know the inner workings of your mind based on your upbringing. How you make decisions, your thoughts on life, what is stress to you and how you cope. How do you deal with materialism and what do you seem important in life
We often read how indigenous cultures have an almost spiritual connection with their natural homelands. Given most of modern humanity has lost this connection did your lifestyle at Gorge River help retain this connection to any extent?
Hi Chris, Yes I would (will) definitely read your book. Question for your book: Wondering what your thoughts or perceptions of other childrens lives out in towns and cities when you were at a primary school and high school age? Thanks.
Gday Chris...I will have a good think about "what to put in the book".....one thought is how you felt when you had the year living away form home and went to school with "so many many people"!
Oh and I’d definitely like to read more about Antarctica and also more practical chapter maybe about challenges and surviving in the isolation, I guess unique homesteading tips? I’ve only ever lived in cities but some kind of isolated life is in my future plans and would love to know what to expect and how to prepare. I have a friend that used to live on a small island with only6 other people and his life there was really fascinating
I’d read it for sure! From your Childhood to current adventures. Inspiration for a young kiwi just getting into travel and alpine/back country adventure
Write about sustained connections with your sister. PS of course I’d read it here in Cambridge England! I have a twirlie carving from your Dad and read both their books.
Not a big reader of books, but when I come across a good one, I’ll read until I’m over reading for another year. I would certainly invest in your successful book, then pass it on to my Grandchildren to read, so that they possibly could be inspired by your Life so far. Of course they’ll have to leave Brisbane & their Mothers, to venture on. :-)
Congratulation on the book! Well done..You have led a very interesting life so far and I am sure lots more interesting stuff to come I would definitely read it!.
I would love to hear heaps about your time in Antarctica - I'm hoping to get to there someday and that was actually how I found your channel! I would 100% like to read your book!
i would like to know how you blend your life at gorge river with your more recent life more populated or less isolated your journey between isolation and civilisation
Congrats on the autobiography, Chris! I thought about writing a book about my intrepid non-hikers hike to Gorge River titled "STRIFE on Gorge River" hahaha... Lesson 1: I am not good at navigation.
interested in your barefoot adventure at Gorge River. Have your feet got soft with your overseas adventure, do you have to work to keep your fitness, did you eat possums at Gorge River in your young days and do you have your own diet?? Keep up the good work Chris, i have followed the whole family since the first Ben Fogle series and absolutely love your progress in life and all adventures . GOOD luck and take care.
Haha good questions, Yes I have eated possum a couple of times. YEs for sure my feet have become softer because its not easy to wear bear feet elsewear, especially in Antarctica and the Arctic. And lastly I find it very easy to keep my fitness, i am very lucky for that. After 3 months living on a yacht in the Arctic not doing anything very physical I came home and walked from Big Bay to Gorge RIver in my record time.
I was like "i hope it's not getting married, there goes my chance." Lol...still enjoy hearing about your family and how you grew up so anything involving that would be great! All the best
Don’t have a baby! Unless u want all adventurous adventures to get canned for 18 years. (Advice from solo mum who wants to live in the bush with her 2boys, but can’t ) ie: living the dream vicariously thru u and Josh James..
That's not true at all - there is plenty of room for travel and adventure with children in tow, many families live on the road, travel the globe - live rurally
I love your story already, can't wait for the book!

Lol at your Dad/Mums response.... “what about Mars?”.... I guess that’s one place that needs exploring 😀
Haha well they already know about the book so they weren't aloud to guess....

How will you raise your own children? Specifically, will you want to raise them outside of mainstream society as you were raised.
Ok ill try to put that in somewhere for sure!
Can't wait!
