There is something calming about watching topsoil curl off a curved blade. When I was a teen I hired out to a neighbor to plow bottom land fields. The first was an old field that had been worked for years... the other had just been bulldozed the previous year and had roots and trash all over it. Although I had years of experience on a tractor... I had never plowed before. The farmer set me up on his 8N Ford and a 2 bottom moldboard plow. He rode around with me a couple of times then left me to it. I learned pretty quickly how to steer using the wheel brakes and how to control depth and speed for proper furrow flow. I thought I was hot stuff! About noon I finished it and drove across the creek to field #2. Before I got 200 feet, I had the plow so clogged up with roots and sticks that I spent 30 minutes unclogging it. So, I decided to eat my bologna sandwich and take a quick dip in the creek. Just as I crawled out in my skivvies the farmer forded the creek. He drove to the field and surveyed the mess I’d made. And, asked me what I was thinking. I looked at the trashy field, the plow and said, “”Gonna be a long day.” He laughed and said, “You have to use the right tool for the job.” Then he pointed to the 3 bottom disc plow parked right where I started. Well sir, I learned a two valuable lessons that day... life is easier with the right tools and, there’s one thing prettier than dirt curling off a shiny moldboard ... dirt curling of a disk! Thanks for the opportunity to relive that memory by watching your dozer blade curl that dirt!
Glad you got that off your chest and shared it with all of us. I find what the DIRT BOSS records for us somehow mesmerizes us into all sorts of good things in our minds as he does all the work. Love it all & thanks. Sonny (CT)
Surprise Monday! A new video that we all thank you for. You gotta know what I think of that DOZER - been following that thing since you bought it and through the winter and we all love it! So, I guess you'll dig the foundation as well for this one and the pour too? (You know, just thought of it, anyone who thinks they may have dropped their TIMEX in that field should really watch the dirt coming off that blade in Slow Motion! No guarantee they'd get the watch back but at least they'd know! I didn't see anything shiny. Did you hear anything TICKING?) OH, sorry, I got carried away! Thanks for another & God bless you all. Sonny (CT) I'm back! You know, I guess you are digging the foundation. Why else would the KOBELCO be up there - didn't wanna stay home alone? That was a dumb question I asked above, eh?
None of your questions are dumb Sonny Yes we're digging the foundation What's crazy is these actual fields is where the revolutionary war of 1775 took place! Saratoga battlefield is a half a mile down the road! Farmers say they disc up cannonballs all the time I was hoping to find one or maybe a musket something!
@@DIRT-BOSS There is caliche. It is a cemented gravel the deeper you go the harder it gets. Where I live the rock is sandstone and basalt a lava type rock. There were waterlines in town but in a rural area that were so hard they had to be blasted for a new subdivision.
Mikey Mike....Damn Brother...ya really got me this time. You being a stripper.....DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. Well, Clearly you got the equipment, So why the heck not.... LOL!👍👌☝ Hey nice sand ya got there!

You & ELITE are both dozin' away and both looking good. Great music and great drone shots. Thanks, Dirt Boss.

Nice dozing my friend! Love the drone footage! 💪🏻

You both do very well with your drones; like spoiled little kids! (Listen, if they can't push dirt, they ain't no good!) (Joking guys!)

Nice beach, but the tide must be out!
Haha
That dozer sure isn’t lacking any power!
💪🏼 thanks buddy
Now that is some nice looking dirt you got up north. Kind of looks like some stuff we got here in central to southern Alabama
Yes its nice to work with as long as it's not windy
I sure will agree on that, it's not any fun with a open station dozer. Like this D5G I got. Not fun at all
@@livingstonexcavation732 I hear that this is the first enclosed dozer I've owned and what a difference control your climate!
100% agreed on that. Stay safe. Catch you on the next one.
What year is your tri axle nice looking truck
2013 thanks
I have a question do you contract haul your equipment or do you have a personal hauler just wondering
All right I guess your big equipment is what I mean
No I haul all my equipment on this particular job was an hour away and I needed to get stuff there fast so I hired out the 160
Alright I can see that I was just wondering Keep On Keepin On
Do you have merch?
Not at the moment sorry
@@DIRT-BOSS How 'bout an old pair of socks then? Sonny (CT)
Albany NY rural area looks like better wildlife habitat and topography than here in Minnesota and the roads look better maintained also
Yeah lots of wildlife on Upstate NY
You don't see many wide track dozers in AZ, and every dozer has a ripper bar.
Really why a ripper I thought it was all sand out there?

The sand must be your reward for pounding in that swimming pool in solid rock
Yes my machine has a big smile!
And also got rewarded with a new bucket!
Beautiful place ! looks like another dusty job though !
Yes but it is beautiful stuff to work with!
Dirt Boss Masonry & Excavating oh I bet! it’s just rolling off the blade . Looks like the soil where Live .im on cape cod which is mostly sand
