This was a very good discussion. I am VERY concerned about the censorship going on these days. That being said, I'm going to say something that is one of those forbidden subjects. I find it hard to believe it's only me that thinks this, you all say you can't figure out the source of the dictation to the academia but.... I believe it has a lot to do with the Israeli lobby (they get directions from Israel but I don't think THEY knew about Gaza). I think this little war in Gaza had been planned by key people in the Israeli government for a long time, and they wanted to make sure they shut everyone up long before so as to not criticize Israel.They started by trying to get states to make a law against the BDS protests that were going on, wanting states to refuse to do business with anyone who boycotts Israel. Boycotting, divestments and sanctions are free speech activities. I'm not even sure this comment will stay put. I'm sure this has crossed your minds since you have such brilliant ones.
Max complains that the manual said that when they do graduate admissions, they are no longer allowed to look at what university the student came from, whether Harvard or the University of Idaho. He needs to know whether it was Harvard so he can reject them out of hand!
I like to think that reading books, forgetting the hate-panel, that was easier-not, but it was different, and that's what that was, something different, like reading books. I wasn't just stupid, I was different, like everybody, but then, the reading, went, away... because the point had been made, with everybody.
